Does anyone remember the hexagon type shape video cameras Sony was showing at NAB? Anyone know where I can find the pics of a video where I can see the camera being shown/what sort of specs they are supposed to have? Thanks

What settings should I use when scanning film negatives? I have epson v750 at school. Used grayscale I get pictures which I cannot process further than pictures which are scanned in 48bit color. My teacher says that it is not necessary to use more than 800dpi but I tend to disagree. What dpi setting should I best use if I want good quality pictures for computer? Thanks in advance

Why do plebs buy UV filters for DIGITAL cameras?

26 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: UV FILTER.jpg]
As far as i know, digital sensors are not sensitive to UV light. Only film cameras were. So there is no reason at all to use an UV filter on a Digital Camera! Why there are so many plebs who still think they are using film?

Sup /p/ I got a 50mm 1.8 off Amazon new, Grey Market 'bout ~8 months ago. Ad said they (Adorama) covered the 1 year on the glass instead of Canon. Turns out after an email exchange, it was only 30days and they sent me off to canon (no fucking way in hell will they cover a GM lens in Murica). Question is, the fucker locks up (I'm only ever in MF), and can maybe focus a teeny bit, then another moment maybe half way, then it frees up and works fine. So can I carefully dissect this little piece of recycled patio furniture and gut the AF mech out of it? Also new/p/hags, spend the extra $6 and get the one from CanonUSA if you are stateside. Floridafriends report. I've noticed a few /p/osters here are from Florida. Any chance we'd have enough people to do a meet up? Just throwing the idea around, because the past couple meetups here look like fun and it'd be cool if we could throw one together in the sunshine state. I'm from Tampa but I'd be willing to drive a good distance. St Augustine, the Keys, Miami, Everglades, Ocala, whatever. [EXIF data available. Need advice on cleaning interior of DSLR

18 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: dirt_example copy.jpg]
Hi /p/. I've had a Canon EOS 650D/Rebel T4i for about 6 months now and I've started seing blotches on images regardless of which lens I am using. I clean my lenses with an air blower, graphite pen and micro fiber cloth. I have had a look at the mirror and the sensor inside the body but I can't see any marks or dirt. I am new to DSLRs and I haven't faced this problem before. Should I clean the mirror and sensor inside the camera body and how should I do it? Should I just get it professionally cleaned? Any advice much appreciated. pic related: It's the marks I am seeing on my photos. [EXIF data available.
