Sup /P/ As the photo might suggest, I recently acquired a Yashica-A TLR. While I have dabbled in other forms of film photography, I have never made the plunge towards medium format, and come to you guys for help. 1. This camera takes 120 film. I'm inclined to purchase the first color 120 film w/prime on amazon to use on this. I've seen threads on here before where people will have all these different fancy velvia blah blah film brands, I'm wondering how much of a difference that will make here, and if Kodak or Fuji 400 speed film will do fine. 2. This Yashica has no light meter. I've also read that the Yashicas with light meters are not to be trusted anyways. Any suggestions for shooting without one? I was considering just going by the Sunny 16 rule for outdoor shots (apparently you want a pretty closed aperture on this camera anyways) and then perhaps using a DSLR to test shots with and then transfer the settings to the TLR. Will this do, or do you guys think an external light meter is a must? 3. Where do you guys develop your 120 film? Doing it myself is a bit out of the question, but a quick search online tells me that even Walmart can process this film if sent out. http://petapixel.com/2012/04/11/get-120-film-developed-on-the-cheap-at-walmart/ So going with this, for 3 bucks I can get just the negatives back and then scan them with my Epson V300? Have you guys tried having Walmart develop your film? Good idea? Bad idea? That's about all I can come up with for now. Thank you guys for reading! [EXIF data available. Thoughts on this little thing? iblazr/lblazr, whatever the fuck they named it. It works with 2.5mm extender cables and it has an internal battery. It does constant light as well. Capsule Factory Photos

I asked a company that makes health capsules if they wanted some free photos taken in their factory. I found it quite hard to choose on the correct leveling of the photo inside, any advice would great. Exposure was a bit difficult as well since it was quite bright it was hard for some photos to retain detail in the shadows without blowing the highlights out. Some C&C would be great, this was my first time doing this sort of shooting. Most of these photos I wouldn't have taken had I not been asked to take them. 1/10 Outside of the building, I think I should I used a polariser just to marginally darken the sky. Question regarding humidity

Hey I got a pen ep3 and I'm travelling right now. In the coming days I will visit a botanical garden and it is basically a huge greenhouse and it tries to simulate the Amazon rainforest. Of course I would like to take pictures but I'm concerned that the humid environment might destroy the lens (cheap kit lens) or even th electronics... Is there something I can do?

Urgent Question

4 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: wallpaper-706546.jpg]
Hello /p/, I have asked this question before in the past, never to be answered. I have some long lost photos I am searching for, and I used to have a full set of the negatives but I lost them. They are from the late 1980's and I know the store that developed them but I do not have the time to go there yet. My question was, how long do photo development stores keep old negatives? Will they still be there somewhere in the old file cabinets or am I basically screwed? And will a normal photo developing store develop nude photos or not?

Going to shoot some photos at the beach tonight during golden hour. I plan on doing some timelapse stuff with the sunset. Boring shit, I know, but it's fun and I have yet to seriously do anything timelapse related beyond a few tests. That said, tips would be appreciated regarding shooting the ocean or timelapses in general. I'm shooting with a Nikon D7000 which has a built-in intervalometer. I'll probably just use my kit lens since it's the widest thing I have, but am a bit worried about distortion of the horizon at 18mm. How could I avoid this? In terms of framing; I'm planning on shooting the timelapse perpendicular to the setting sun rather than directly into the ocean, catching the sun at the edge of the frame and creating leading lines down the line of the water reaching the beach.
