Can anybody tell me what went wrong here? I shot this on 120 fuji 400 (2 rolls, brought seperately 1 week apart), and sent them to the lab for processing. When they came back they looked like this! I contacted the lab to complain, but they said there was nothing wrong with their "dry to dry" processing, and I should look to the age of the film as the problem (it was shot within a fortnight of puchase, and stored in the fridge till it was sent off). They also said the vertical marks were probably caused by being dragged through my scanner (it's a flat-bed, so no). There is even a dirty great thumb print on one of them! The montage shows four of them, but the whole lot was like this (some were even worse).

So I'm trying to make a timelapse of me re-painting one of the rooms in my house. I used a GoPro Hero 2 to take 960p 30fps video. How can I turn these video files into a time-lapse movie? The thing I can't seem to figure out, is how to adjust the frame rate.

Hey guys, new to this board, frequenter of /wg/ and /fa/. I've volunteered to be a photographer for my university's fashion soc. It's a pretty big thing, the biggest and most successful in the UK, so I'm a little intimidated. I've been an amateur for a couple of years now, have a Canon EOS 550d with bog standard kit lens 18-55 and another 50mm f/1.8. Nothing else, no tripod, external flash etc. Being a student I can't really afford it. What I'm asking is if any of you have tips for shooting indoors with my sort of limited setup? I make do with what I've got and I'm happy with what I've got out of it. BUT I do tend to completely avoid shooting indoors because I'm well aware I'm totally shit at it. I've never done fashion photography, so again, pretty apprehensive about it, any advice would be much appreciated. Going to attach some of my favourite photos so you can get an idea of where I'm at, I've never had real critique from people in the know so do feel free to judge! TL;DR - Tips for indoor fashion photography with limited kit setup Canon 550d + kit lens 18-55 and 50 f/1.8. + Judge some of my recent photos and tell me should I even be considered for the student job as fashion photographer. Cheers. [EXIF data available. I just got into DSLR photography, what do I need to develop my own film, I keep seeing people mention darkrooms but I don't know anything about that. Can't you just print them from your computer or something?

The camera is in the PRC! It arrived safe and sound last week when I was on holiday. The packaging looked like the authorities tried to look inside but just gave up under the sheer amount of bubble wrap used. Good shout, K-dog. Thanks for the film, too. And the...pH testing kit? I don't have a day off till next week, but I made a new friend a short while ago and he has a car, so I'll try and persuade him to drive me into the Qín L?ng mountains or something. WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE 4.0

This weeks challenge is: PAN CHALLENGE Your mission, should you chooses to accept it, is to pan a subject. Can be anything, people, cars, trains, planes, whatever the hell you want. Panning is one of the best ways to learn how to anticipate your subject and plan to shoot it when it arrives at a certain point. Modern stabilized lenses make this a little easier but panning was done back in the manual film days too so you don't need one to play. A successful pan shot will have a sharp subject and extreme motion blur in the background in the direction the subject is moving. These are typically done at low ISO and slow shutter speeds. Bonus points for unstabilized panning Michael J. Fox mode: Pan an obscenely long focal length >300mm handheld Try to be creative about it. Remember this is /p/hotography not facebook. As usual no pulling photos from your archive. The whole point is to get you out taking new photos! Good luck and have a great weekend /p/haggots! [EXIF data available.
