Here's a little idea I've been working on. I wouldn't even call it a rough draft at this point, but I wanted to see what I could possibly do with this project. It's been going on for long enough now. There are also a lot of new-ish people here so I wanted to share all of these images in case you haven't seen them. They probably don't make much sense seeing them one or two at a time in my other threads. [EXIF data available. So I have to write a resume. I've never had to write one before, my job searching experience is pretty much "Yo, I want a job." "Ok, here, hold this light." But now I have to write one for a class. Does /p/ have any experience writing photography resumes? What should I put in? Tips for a good photo resume?

Hi /paggots, i've fully working Canon ae-1. I have one problem with it. Viewfinder glass kinda broke and gone into middle of viewfinder. Does this have an impact on focusing mechanism? There are simply no vintage primes in the range of 10-18mm are there? The few that exist seem to be fisheye or as expensive as any modern glass. Anyway, I'm replacing my Canon 16-35 2.8L with primes, and I'm pretty much ready to just bite the bullet on Rokinon's 16mm T2.2 (I'm a BMCC shooter, and in b4 >Rokinon). The remaining gap can be covered with Yashica ML lenses which I've fallen in love with, but there's still a sad absence on the sub-16mm end. I don't mind spending a few hundred if I have to, the lenses just don't seem to exist. Are high end cinema lenses my only real option if I want manual aperture?

holla /p/haggots I'm currently having remodeling done in my house, and as photography has always played a major part of my life I'd like to hang some prints for a change. I'm no pompous asshole so there will be none of my own work hanging, but I do not wish for some other expensive random photographer print hanging in my house. Instead, I'm asking that you all post any photos you'd be willing to allow me to privately print and frame in my home. As odd as it sounds, /p/ has given me a large deal of knowledge and skills with the ~2 years I've been here and I'd love it if some of this board's work was hanging around my place. I'm specifically looking for B&W portrait orientation photos, and I currently have 5 frames needing photos. >tl;dr share other prints with anon >no watermarks pls >no plagiarism pls Should this thread turn out to be absolute shit, I'll be deleting it for the board's sake. >pic unrelated

New IR Shots

Hey /p/hrends, I took some new IR today at school. Wanted to know what you guys think. I wanted to try new colors, so I went for orange because it's getting kind of cold here and I wanted to convey a fall-ish look. It doesn't help that 90% of the trees here in SC are pines. First off though, I want to apologize for the sky in some. After white balance and false coloring in post, they got completely washed out. lastly, if IR isn't your cup of tea, then so be it. I realize it's not for everyone, and some think it's gimmicky, but it's something I enjoy. Anyway, thoughts? [EXIF data available. I've 200euros to spend. Should I go for a used Sigma 50mm F1.4 EX DG HSM or for a used Canon EF 50mm F1.4 USM? Good bokeh is not one of my priorities I'm more concerned about chromatic aberration and sharpness.

The Library

Hey /p/eeps Just wanted to share my (updated) personal library of photography resources with you. You may access it by going to http://capeto.apollo.feralhosting.com/ and signing in with the following credentials: u: anon@4chan.org p: WhiteBalance Among the new stuff you'll find the books used by the New York Institute of Photography, a few books on Photoshop CS6/CC from Adobe Press, and a new section on Creativity so you get some fresh ideas baking in that noggin of yours. I also realize that a very good chunk of the books there are general Introduction to Photography kind of books so I'll be skimming through those and keeping only the best/most complete. In exchange for these books, I ask you to refrain from shitposting, even if it's only once. Instead of telling some stranger on the internet to sell their gear and kill themselves, offer some helpful advice you would have loved to receive when you were where they are right now. Or, if that's asking too much, simply exit the thread and hide it. Have fun, learn some stuff, but most importantly, go shoot!

hey guys so I recently found my moms old 35mm film camera and started to shoot film. Does anyone know the cheapest place to get the rolls developed? I'm tried of spending $10 a roll for sub par quality at Rite Aid.

How do you get VHS effect like this without have an old video camera. Was this done with a newer camera and then edited? How can I make a video shot from an iPhone (yes, I know) look like this? Here's the video itself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VOV0MidDjE

Hi /p/ Not going to lie, first time poster here on this board. I haven't really lurked at all, but I wanted to ask about this old Nikon FE I found in a shoebox. The case for it is pretty much dust but the camera seems to be in great condition. I want to get into entry-level photography, and I was wondering whether I should learn on how to use this camera (which requires film, of course) or sell it and buy a good digital instead. Poorfag/cheapfag whatever here. I tried listening to the sticky and doing my research on an entry level DSLR. For days now, and I've learned quite a bit. The Pentax K-30 seems like the perfect one for me as I only need two lenses to do whatever I want. But 700 dollars, and a slight improbability its in my area. Bestbuy has it for 700 with the 15-50mm and 15-300mm lenses. But I guess what I'm getting at is I need a backup plan in case go there and its just not there around the end of this month. What is the Canikon equivalent of the K-30 in terms of image quality? [EXIF data available.
