Basically the type of stuff that im looking for, never hapoens in my presence So fuck it, decided to stage my stuff Im looking for people to pose for very short time (1 minute) and do what I tell them (nothing extremely sexual or violent) Do i just approach people on the street and offer them some money for that 1 minute shooting, or how can I get some "actors" so to speak Don't have enough friends for all the stuff that I need to shoot, but will use them at first to gain some quick experience before moving on to strangers How do i do this? How would you do it? I have pretty shit people skills.

Relatively new photog I just bought it mint (we will see) off of ebay. 32gb SDHC card, battery, all cords, and a strap for $220. For those who have it, what should I know about it? It's tweaks and overlooked features? Any insight appreciate if there is interest.

Do you find it necessary to adhere to true or "perfect" white balance, or do you have a preference for a certain look depending on the shot which deviates from reality (warmer or cooler than the actual scene)? As someone new to photography, would it not be more sensible for me to shoot in jpg instead of RAW because it forces me to take the time to get things like exposure right because of the more restricted exposure post processing you can do with jpg?

exhibition models

Has anyone any experience with used exhibition models? I wanted to purchase a Pentax K-30, and as I am not a wealthy man, found some offers that would save me 200$+ compared to a new one. Are there any common issues with them? I would get a short term of redemption, but Im not sure if I would be able to identify any/all possible defects.

What's the best cost-coolness camera? You know, I mean it like in cost-performance, but prioritize sexy design over performance. I just want a cool camera without breaking my bank like Leica usually do. Oh, and it have to be digital so it's practical when I have to actually use it.

Hey guys. I have some questions about flash photography. Let's just say I'm a landscape shooter, so I'm not used to using one at all. I also will be using a Mamiya 645 Pro (not the TL, so it doesn't have flash metering built in). I have a friend wanting some help with a portrait session this weekend and I want to help him out, but some of it will be indoors and after dark so I want to use my flash (I have a Canon 430ex with an omni-bounce diffuser laying around and it works on the Mamiya) and I'd like the exposures to actually turn out decent. I'll probably be bouncing the flash and/or using it with the diffuser. The flash allows me to set it to different strengths manually (full power, 1/2, 1/4, etc), do you have any idea how I can figure out how strong to set it? Will it matter a whole lot if I'm bouncing it and using it with color negative film that has a shit ton of exposure latitude? Where to I even begin? So here's the deal, I'm shooting film so I can't check during the shoot. The camera I'm using also can't meter flash. I don't have enough time to get a flash meter or anything like that. I also have no idea what I'm doing. Would /p/ be so wonderful as to give me a few pointers? It's not a critical shoot to me, but my friend thought it would be cool to have some help and get some shots on film. I'm also down for getting a little portrait experience from him while I'm at it.

I just bought a Canon 6D and everyone is telling me it's practically useless for video which is the primary reason I bought it. Is it really worth the extra cash for the 5D MkIII? Apparently theres a $350 anti-aliasing filter for the 6D that gets rid of the moire effect but I don't know how well it works [EXIF data available.
