Is there such a thing as a travel tripod that I can throw in a day pack? Something that would keep my shots steady at night. See that moire over on that thing next to the A/C unit? How would I go about getting rid of that? I've googled, but there are many different ways people seem to go about it. I just saw this in a tv show. SQUARE bokeh...balls? Is there such a thing as 4 blade lenses or was this made intentional with those paper shapes over the front element?

Does /p/ have any gallery experience? I have the opportunity to get at least one of my photos in a gallery show next month. I already have a 13x18 print of this one, but I'm not sure how to mount it, or how much to ask for it. If I put this in a reasonably nice frame, would $100 be appropriate? [EXIF data available. Hey /p/hotogs, This weekend I went to a flea market, and I picked up this Nikon FM that came with a 35-70 f3.3-4.5 lens. It's a little beat up and it definitely needs a cleaning. I bought it for $20. Did I do good? pic related, this is him

I recently got a Canon i405x printer. This is the first time I've ever done my own printing and I'm a bit unsure about printing profiles. So far I've been using the default one (selected) and the prints look quite good. Image maybe appears slightly less contrasty/saturated than my monitor. RGB 1998 was even less saturated. I'm just wondering how exactly profiles should be used. Are there specific profiles for each printer? Should I try any of the profiles available or look for something else? pic related

Adobe hack worse than first reported

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-24740873 >Adobe has confirmed that a recent cyber-attack compromised many more customer accounts than first reported. The software-maker said that it now believed usernames and encrypted passwords had been stolen from about 38 million of its active users. It added that the attackers had also accessed details from an unspecified number of accounts that had been unused for two or more years. The firm had originally said 2.9 million accounts had been affected. >Adobe has also announced that the hackers stole parts of the source code to Photoshop, its popular picture-editing program. It had previously revealed that the source code for its Acrobat PDF document-editing software and ColdFusion web application creation products had also been illegally accessed. The information could allow programmers to analyse how Adobe's software works and copy its techniques. >In May, Adobe shifted several of its products to a subscription model, meaning its customers needed to register an account and provide their payment card details in order to qualify for upgrades. So much for the fucking cloud, eh? lel.

This vid is me testing out the cam after I got it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpjwhgpKWVY I'm interested in seeing your vids so post away and if you could give me some advise on my clips I'd really appreciate it!
