This may be a stupid question but how does one develop one own style? it seems like most fine art artists have a gimmick/style. but all i do is go out and take pictures of things that interest me. my photos are decent but nowhere near gallery tier. i dont put much thought into them which is why they just end up being nice at most. nothing one could write something about. how do i develop my own distinctive style? there are so many photographers around. i feel like everything has been already done once. i thought about making a series but that would be just photographing things without a real meaning. DO I just suck? Am i not creative enough? should I give up photography? Is there a way to get more creative?

What's /p/'s opinion on digitalrev? I mostly watch it for the entertainment value but I take everything they say with a bag of salt.

Sup I've been lurking for a few days. I just got back from Walgreens and I'm happy with how my prints turned out so I thought I'd post my first thread to share them. I'm very open to criticism.

bag/backpack for sport

so i'm quite happy with my crumpler jackpack 5500 for normal carry, but i'ts not very comfy for moving and sportstuff. (skiing, hiking, climbing, cycling...) any good suggestions? should carry a D5200 with one or two lenses and maybe a bottle of water and it should be as shock resistent as possible.

Am i a fool to want to shoot film as an amateur/poorfag? i always liked the way photo's looked on film better. and getting them back and looking at them for the first time weeks later and deciding who gets what was fun. what do you think /p/, should i just nut up and get a regular entry level digital camera? Am i just too late to the party as far as film is concerned?

Color Correction Filters For Colour Film?!

5 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: Gutmann_YYYY-4_5-CH-45-10(...).jpg]
I shoot a lot of film, but it's usually B&W so I have never bothered with colour correction filters. I just bought a stack of slide film that I want to shoot at night in artificial light, so I have to correct the colour shift. I have no idea which filters to use, so what do I need to correct Tungsten and Fluorescent lights on Daylight balanced slide film? [EXIF data available.
