hello /p/ I was wondering if you could explain and maybe help me out with some of my photo's. In the darker, shady area it is all grainy and noisy, but I don't know what causes this. These photo's are taken at a car show outside at around 9:30 in the morning so fairly sunny. Could anyone explain to me what I am doing wrong? [EXIF data available. poor student rant

Why is film still so expensive? For example a roll of portra 400 costs 7€ here (when buying 5-packs), processing and scanning (no prints) costs ~10€. That makes about 0,47€ per picture. Why not just shoot digital and curve-rape it to make it look like film? How film looks on a screen is limited by the scanner (which is digital) anyways. picture unrelated

hey I want to unabashedly copy Terry Richardson. I am new to photography, and with a lot of things, I like to copy someone simple and successful and famous while I'm still learning (expanding my own style later) I have a Nikon D70s that I think will do, what kind of flash does he have? other than using a CB Mini-RC bracket,. Is that all there is to it? Thanks a tons. (pic related, want, fits with a pj im doing) [EXIF data available. I have heard that using the usb port on canikon dslrs to transfer data may be dangerous to the electronic components and is generally advised against from multiple people. instead they insist you should always use a card reader. sadly i could not find any sources via search engine to deny or back up theese claims. i myself try to avoid having to remove/insert CF cards from my cameras because the CF cards pins are very prone to breaking, bending and contact wear-out/surface deterioration. whats your opinion on this tl;dr card reader or usb port for transferring images? Sigma dp2 falling in price? http://www.amazon.de/Sigma-Digitale-Kompaktkamera-Megapixel-SD-Speicherkartenslot/dp/B008FH4L7S/ref=sr_1_1?s=ce-de&ie=UTF8&qid=1389123756&sr=1-1&keywords=sigma+dp2 it's 876€ on my local amazon. Holy shit. At this price I feel it's actually worth it, but I'm set on buying the 18-35 so it'll have to wait.

Hey /p/ I come to you with a technical question regarding printing. Say I wanted to print a 50x50 cm picture (cropped to make a square that is, so the height would "naturally" be 50cm). What kind of resolution (dpi?) would I need for it to look proper? I don't know if I worded that correctly but I hope you understand. Pic unrelated, but interesting.

Goodbye, flippy mirror?
