I am currently saving up to make a short film with my buddies. Ive got about $1400 saved up and was looking at getting a Canon 60D, 70D, or mk2 but I really have a problem with the way DSLRs look. They all look like garbage. How realistic is it to shoot a movie on film for a first time film maker? I know its almost an entirely different craft and opens up a whole new slew of things you have to take into account. But I just love the look of old film so much better than DSLR. So how expensive are old film cameras? Where can you buy them? I dont even know where to look. This is the first time ive considered this so im relatively clueless. What is the editing process like? How do you distribute it and put it on different formats? how do you do audio and color correction type stuff? I just want my film to look good..
