I'm a bit concerned that no reviewer has the SD or SD-H in hand yet.

That shape suddenly makes a lot more sense with that grip. It's almost like they designed the camera to be ergonomically terrible unless you have it on.

There is no chance whatsoever that it will even approach the low light performance of the GR, even with an f/1.4 lense attached, even downsampled to 16mp from 50mp or whatever it is.

you can get a used dp merrill for under $500 new ones are less than half of the x100t price I think.

They're completely different cameras for different purposes though. x100 is meant for all around photography and foveon is meant for maximum possible image quality in semi-controlled conditions at low iso. You wouldn't take photos of your kids running around with the dp2, for example.
Here's a merrill compared to a d610 scaled to the same size. the results are pretty impressive http://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/3590833

Why don't they just make a mft version or something so folks can use lenses they already have rather than make us buy into a whole new system? Foveon technology isn't good enough yet to use one of these as your only camera since the battery will cut out in 5 minutes (most of which time it'll spend writing a single image), and £2500 is ridiculous money to ask for a camera with no lens ecosystem that isn't suitable for most pros or well rounded enough for most enthusiasts
