Pepakura Designer help? I've been playing around in the program for months now, but I've stumbled on something that I thought was impossible. I'm planning on using foam to do a larger pepakura project, and I know it's possible to modify patterns for foam after they are printed, but are there any tips on optimizing it for foam beforehand too? I saw this image on google and was stumped. How did they get such big surfaces without a billion cuts in them? There is clearly a lot of polygons, yet not tons of complex cuts amongst them. Is there some options to get the 2D unfold to ignore "almost flat" folds the same way they can be invisible on the 3D model? Or is this (and similar that I've found) just edits done after the fact?
