Tl:dr: How do I make a digital template from pencil sketches?
Hey /po/, I had been toying with the idea of creating a papercraft version of this character I drew for a long time. At first I wanted to commission someone, but I realized I'd be a lot more satisfied with doing it myself. So I brought out the ruler and graph paper and this was the result. I'm actually quite happy with it, despite a few errors in the net that are easy fixes, but this is where I'm at a loss. I have no idea how to move forward, as in cleaning it up and digitizing it. My first instinct was to recreate the net and scan it, but that wouldn't really work because the measurements on paper were really crude and they only worked by forcing the paper to close gaps, not to mention I also don't have a scanner. Then I figured I would just recreate the net with gimp by creating a grid and just snapping the lines accordingly, but then I ran into problems with line thickness and the lines not snapping to the intersections properly. Basically I just want to know how to make a digital template from my paper designs. Thanks for any help and criticism in advance.
