Forum Sliding. I know. Not against any rules. Well sometimes it is, depends on the topics being created. I spend my evenings discussing current events and politics on /pol/ and I've seen for myself when the slide is happening (yes HAPPENING). I'm routinely reporting off-topic threads. I would like to know if admins, mods, janitors, whatever have seen it themselves or you all just think I'm totally paranoid. Suppressing information by sage-bombing and creating a bunch of new topics WOULD make sense... Just sayan.

OP deleting his own thread

10 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: 1332599774327.jpg]
So for a while now I have been getting a lot of threads where their maker deletes them when their trolling attempts are subverted too strongly. Actually I try to get them to do this on purpose because it's funny to me and because I don't exactly like what they're trying to do. The problem is that it stifles any discussion that doesn't go exactly as OP wants it to. If I or someone else or several other people say too many things that OP doesn't like, he'll just delete his thread so people can't share in that. Worse, he'll just start a new thread immediately about the exact same thing and say all the exact same stuff and hope that people like me have quit browsing for the moment. I was wondering, would there be some way to link OP's password for the deletion of posts and threads to his IP, so that if he's constantly changing IPs for the purpose of samefagging and ban evasion and whatnot, then he can't delete his own threads and posts without going back to the old IP? It would add yet another hurdle to spam and copypasta and all of that, like IDs added and captcha added, without really impacting anonymity or user-friendliness for normal users. I know this isn't the place for suggestions, I guess there is no place for suggestions right now, and I don't know if anyone that reads this cares or could do anything or pass on the idea, but I thought it was a good idea.

Image Limit Size

Would it be too much to ask for a 5MB Image limit on boards like /v/ /a/ /vg/ /gif/ where gifs are used a lot? It would allow us to create much high quality gifs for uploading. Would It require too much of an overhaul?

File names are cut off.

I browse from my Android phone. It doesn't show file names in the mobile view. In the desktop view some of them will have this: (...) cutting off the filename followed by the .jpg, .png, etc. Can this be fixed?

Flags on /pol/

can we get some country flags on /pol/ until the mods make up a system where we can choose our own flag?

What are the greatest achievements of your respective boards, 4chan?

4chan has fallen, to the normalfags

So the last bastion of communal anonymous expression is being overrun. All that I see here in /q/, is ban this word and ban that word. The new /lgbt/ forum-goers thinking 4chan is some sort of R&DDlT lite. Oh look, another censor. I didn't really expect it to end this way.

/asp/ Filesizes

As many a /sp/ browser will tell you, there are many gifs made from events that would be considered /sp/(and now /asp/ Content that had the Luxury of /sp/'s larger filesizes. One of them being Professional Wrestling. The filesize on /asp/ should match that of /sp/ for this reason. I and many other Pro Wrestling fans have gifs that easily exceed the boards current limit

Why is there such blatant homophobia on 4chan when the founder of the website is gay? Administrator Reply: >>477687

Possible Solutions for Consumer Advice and Simple Tech Question Threads on /g/

41 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: 1361318214669.jpg]
Greetings from /g/. I am not sure how much moot pays attention to the state of this board but many on /g/ would agree that it is time to make a decent locked general info sticky that either contains a series of guides (see /k/) or a link to a wiki. The problem is the amount of consumer electronic recommendation threads that are a daily nuisance on the board and often devolve into fan boy wars or derail into a shitposting frenzy. If the sticky idea does not appeal you can always consider changing the board name from "Technology" to "/g/eneralconsumeradvice". There is seldom an actual technology related thread among a daily flood of "what should I buy?" and "How do you (simpletechquestionhere)?" If followed through on, the quality of posts on the board might actually increase and be more tech (rather than tech support) related. Feel free to support the idea or comment on what should be done. Thanks.

Primary/Secondary Split

As we all know, /v/ is a very fast board. Would it be a good or bad idea to split it yet again for one board for primary Vidya and another for secondary Vidya?

Sexuality/relationship boards

What if instead of having /lgbt/, we deleted that board and started separate boards to discuss separate sexualities? That way we could have /srt/ - Strait relationships /gay/ - gay stuff /bi/ - bisexual stuff and so forth? That way everyone will be happy and equal. I hope.
