Settings resetting problem

0 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: 1340408288417.jpg]
For some reason my custom setting keep reverting back to the default settings randomly. Sometimes it happens within 2 minutes of manually changing my settings, other times I can open and close my browser a few times before they are reverted back to the default. It's like Chinese water-torture, but with 4chan. I'm not sure if its my browser or my computer, but whatever the issue is, I would like it resolved. Pic related, its how I feel about the problem

Stop all this damn CP/teen crap

13 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: beach.jpg]
Moot! 4chan has code to prevent the posting of duplicate images? I'm guessing that some sort of hash value is generated and compared to a list of existing values. Why don't you build a library of hash values from CP images, and auto-ban anyone that posts it? If not auto-ban, then at least freeze the thread until a Janitor/Mod can review. I understand that this could be circumvented by resizing, cropping, color correcting, etc... but if this feature was hidden, I bet we could block most of this content before it reaches anyone. BTW, my pic is not related. It's my 28 Y/O cousin from her Facebook page.

I think we need a board dedicated to sex discussion without the clutter of fap material on the already existing sex boards. Porn images should be allowed, especially if they're relevant, but no porn dumps because the point of the board would be adult discussion, not adult images. Anyone with me?

Feature suggestion for /int/

3 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: concealflag.png]
I have a suggestion about a new feature to add on /int/, and in my opinion it would greatly increase this board's global quality. Note that this applies to /sp/ and generally any board that is bound to have flags enabled in the future. The idea is very simple: flags should be concealed by default, but you can reveal it by typing something in the email field (or whatever method you think should be more appropriate). It would greatly improve /int/ overall for the following reason; Most discussions on /int/ are heavily biased because people can't help but take the poster's nationality into account when arguing. This leads to literal ad hominem (i.e. "I'll disregard your comment because you come from X"), baseless flaming ("Fuck off, X faggot"), etc. I have observed the most blatant example of this kind of behavior recently: a Greek poster started a thread about "which country is the worst shithole" and almost every reply was "Greece". Now you may think the thread was fairly low-quality (and I agree with you) but I happened to be on my phone and for some reason flags aren't display when I post from it, so I decided to start the same thread, using the fact that my nationality is hidden when I post from my phone. Needless to say, the answers were extremely varied. This shows that people are bound to be biased when they see other people's nationalities and this is extremely harmful for a quality discussion (that is, without the same shit-flinging that goes on since the board's creation). Of course I can't deny the usefulness of flags on an international board; hence the option to display them on demand, when it becomes relevant or useful to the discussion. For instance, if someone asks for advice in Spanish, it only makes sense that the guys trying to correct the OP would reveal their flags if they are Spanish or Latinos. It also removes the problem of impersonation, since people can always reveal their flags when honesty is needed to carry on a conversation further.

Steam begging

I know you don't care about /b/, but, Steam begging threads are getting out of control. During summer this is going to explode when the sales are on. Can we get a public ban on one of these threads?

show password on ban page

4 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: baseball.gif]
I think the ban evading tripfag problem would be solved once and for all if moot put the the tripfag's password in the ban message. for example, if a trip got banned it would say "The name you were posting with was tripfag##(password)." This would be effective because those ban evading trips resort to using proxies to evade their ban. If someone came across a proxy a tripfag banned then it would show their password and the trip would end up losing their identity. This deters them from ban evading because the run the risk of losing their trip if they ban evade with a proxy. Thoughts?

A board about musical instruments

1 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: ]
Why don't we have a board about musical instruments moot? Im not talking about a board like /mu/ where everyone keeps bragging about how nobody listens to their favorite albums etc. Im talking about a board where we can discuss the musical instruments we play with other people on 4chan.

Are mods officially allowed to ban you whenever they feel like if the ban's less than 3 days (since you can't contest it)? Because some of these bans are getting fucking ridiculous.

(1) new reply indicator

1 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: aaaaa.png]
When there are new replies to a thread that you haven't seen, it's indicated through pic related. The indicator goes away not simply when you have watched the replies, but only when you have scrolled down to the very bottom of the page. That way, I end up triple checking every time until I realize I have to scroll to the bottom. It's only a minor thing but it's a bit annoying pls fix

Too much religion shitposting on /pol/

8 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: Polreligion.png]
Now now, don't roll your eyes, it's not like I'm creating yet another thread on how a post on /pol/ hurt my precious fragile feelings and how it should be shut down because of it Instead, I'm here to complain about a actuall problem with /pol/: All the shitposting about religion. No, I'm not talking about /pol/'s weird obsecion with Jews and Muslims. I'm not even saying that threads that have religious undertones in them SHOULD be deleted. What I am saying is that threads that are basically >ATHEISM THREAD WE STONGK EVERYONE ELSE SHIT COME AT ME >CHRISTIAN THREAD DO YOU BELEIVE IN JESUS IF NOT YOU NIGGAS GOIN TO HELL PROVE ME WRONG and so on and so forth that always get 200 replies ommited, click to view, are not actually /pol/ related. I mean, they arn't even shitposting things like >muslims in a thread about, say, libya or syria or whatever, they are just treating /pol/ like it's /jews/ or /religion/ or something WHAT I PROPOSE TO MAKE /pol/ SLIGHTLY BETTER: Decree threads soley about Religion (i.e no actual politics is in the thread) go to /s4s/, /b/ and /x/ Threads that are actually about politics that accoured because of a religious thing can stay on /pol/ Threads going HAPPENING and posters putting ITS THE KIKES/NIGGERS can stay in /pol/ provided they arn't stupid enough to spam the shit everywhere, in which case it should be cleaned up at a janitors discretion (i.e when they feel like it) Red pill threads can stay if they actually have talking points and sources to discuss (i.e they don't go /x/) Note: this thread is for complaining about the influx of religion spam threads and shitposting. I'm not going to go over any other problem /pol/ may have. I support /pol/'s right to have different opinions than mine over religion, but I don't support the 50+ threads shitposting about belief systems when there isn't actually any need for them.

/a/ - /c/, /h/ and porn

11 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: chd.jpg]
Could we get a sticky on /a/ about /c/, /h/ and /d/? I feel like a lot of people either don't know about these boards or don't care much for them. There is a great deal of content that could be moved to /c/ and /h/ (pic related, but also the imagedump threads about various girls)

Anamanagayshit Q&A Should Go Away

23 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: MOOT_SUCKING_MILLIONS_OF_COCKS_NUMB(...).png]
I'm not sure if someone complained here already, I would certainly hope so. But no one on /mu/ wants this shit. Put it on /b/ where they love that Scott Pilgrim-tier shit, or /vr/, idk.
