Maybe you should learn to type in simple English letters into a box.

Or, buy a Pass.

I'm starting to believe the rumors that it will randomly fail your captchas every couple of posts. I've gotten crystal clear ones that I enter 100% (even with the correct capitalization to boot) and it still won't take them.

Bitch at google, cause in case you don't know what reCaptcha is, its GOOGLE's fault. Email them.
Also, 4chan without it, is horrifying.
or just buy a pass. This site costs more than you think bro. And Moot could use some help now and then.

reCAPTCHA is Google's thing, not 4chan's. And no, there aren't any others that'd work.

We have a sticky about this, you know.

1) switching to a better capcha system
2) letting users verify the captcha before they submit the post (like happens when you post w/o javascript)
3) alternatively, put a "second chance" captcha on the captcha error screen instead of making you hit Back, reload the entire thread, reselect your picture, and retry.
4) take off captcha altogether and write some better damn spam filters

Just admit that you can't afford $20 because moot won't take food stamps. It's nobody's fault but your own that you're poor and can't read simple English.

None exists that'd work for 4chan.

>letting users verify the captcha before they submit the post (like happens when you post w/o javascript)
That happens with 4chanX, and the quick reply, I think.

> alternatively, put a "second chance" captcha on the captcha error screen instead of making you hit Back, reload the entire thread, reselect your picture, and retry.
This would also be a good idea, make a thread about it.

>take off captcha altogether and write some better damn spam filters
You weren't here a few years ago, I can tell.

I'd tell you to eat a dick but you clearly are already eating one. Paying money just to have your posts not randomly shot down is fucking retarded, Especially considering the fact that you'd have to buy new passes. Even SA is just a one purchase deal.

>>
Anonymous 2013-01-03 01:45:12 No.356687
You have a few options here:

1) Type captchas correctly
2) Buy a pass
3) Stop browsing 4chan

Even though it's painfully obvious that you can't read English, I'm going to go ahead and give you these links:

http://www.google.com/recaptcha/learnmore
https://developers.google.com/recaptcha/intro

Go read everything there, very thoroughly, and discover that you not only know absolutely nothing about how reCaptcha works, but that you're a complete retard and probably should just go lay down in front of a moving train.

Or, buy a Pass.

>Paying money just to have your posts not randomly shot down is fucking retarded
Ah, but that's not why I bought a Pass. I never fail reCaptchas. Not even once. On any site. Because I can read English.

I didn't buy a Pass because of reCaptcha. I bought a Pass to help moot pay for 4chan, a site that I've benefited from for years for free.

My sweet lord.

You can't read, period. I usually explain it, but it's been posted three times in the thread already.

Look, boy, I have a game for you! It's called "Follow the Headlights!" So all you need to do is run into the street outside your house/box you live in, and find white headlights, not red. When you find them, run at them really quickly, and if they swerve away at the last second, follow them.

4chan has been here for 9 years. I've used it, browsed it, posted on it, had some laughs, got in some arguments, and generally have enjoyed using it for years and nobody has ever asked me for a dime to do so.

The opportunity came up to throw a few bucks moot's way, so I did.

Do you honestly not understand that concept? I guess kids don't watch PBS anymore.

Paying to access a site is one thing. Paying to remove an annoyance that moot put there is another.
It's like if I sat behind you on a bus and started poking you in the back with a stick and insisted that you pay me to stop doing that.

moot is a bully.

Those are all incorrect answers though that take advantage of outdated information (pic) about vulnerabilities in the system.

Here's my theory about how they may have changed it. First, it gives the same "real" word to multiple people and uses the input from each to guess the most likely answer. I'm assuming it did this before, since it would be a pretty risky proposition to rely on the input of just one person for any given word (otherwise there really would be books transcribed as "four niggers and twenty niggers ago our forefathers brought forth on this nigger a new fuckshitcunt"). But what I believe it does now is compare each individual input to the data gathered for a word so far, and if your input is an obvious outlier, it'll reject it as being blatantly false.

Obviously I have no proof of this, and I can't think of any way to conclusively test it, but it seems reasonable that Google would try to plug the most obvious hole in this system.

Captcha: recorded uturea
I put exactly that and it worked.

Mostly filesharing sites and other chans, but also on a few blogs which I'm not going to name on 4chan.
My point is that the reCaptcha rarely (if ever) fails for me on any other site but on 4chan I sometimes fear an autoban for repeated mistyped entries.
Sometimes I wonder if it's to do with 4chanX, though.

But the principle of paying to remove an inconvenience is something that I find to be offensive.

Pretend it's donating then. It's not like captcha is there to just make 4chan a "freemium" service where the "free" product is actually shit. Without it shit would be a lot worse.
