I still can't understand why sin(60)(degrees) = sin(120), shouldn't sin(120) = 2sin(60)?

Where can I learn the basic and most up to date fundamentals of reality and science? Like Fibonacci sequence, golden ratio, etc. I want to learn but science seems to move so fast I can never keep up to date with the current paradigms. Please help a knowledge hungry layman out!!

What should I get my husband for Christmas? He's studying Math and Physics at the university and loves playing with his Arduino set, and reading books about the subjects he's studying. He's also very interested in Astronomy!

Is there a reason why I find relief/vague satisfaction in picking at scabs and eating them? (Pic Related) - Serious question. It started when I was an early teen - I tried eating a scab of mine out of curiosity. After that, I just kept doing it - now I have faint scars all over my shoulders, and some on my face (Thankfully, none of them have gotten infected, and they do heal fairly quickly, being surface wounds) I don't deliberately and knowingly hurt myself to get a scab to pick at, per se, but when I find a blemish (like acne on my shoulder), I'll worry at it until it bleeds, then pick at the scab when it forms, eating it. The picking sometimes hurts, but I feel victorious/satisfied when it comes off. I never want to eat big or infected-looking ones, just the little ones that are 'clean' (Also, only my own scabs. Eating other people's sounds nasty) I also find myself biting bits of skin off the inside of my mouth, or from my nail cuticle, or from my lips and chewing on them. If a scab bleeds too much, I'd rather eat the blood than wipe it off with a napkin. Maybe related? I know it's gross, I only do it in private, and it's humiliating to pick at one and forget about it, and someone points out I have a stripe of blood running down my arm - Or have a spot of blood appear through one of my shirts. Other people knowing about it at all makes me uncomfortable.

Hello /sci/, I have to do a psychology project and create an intelligence theory/test, my group's areas are creativity, emotional intel, logical/analytic, and processing speed(how fast you can answer a question(presumably correct) I'm running into trouble for an equation to generate a score, so far I have ((questions total(30 questions let's assume)-incorrect/missed)/time(seconds))/physical age) * 1000 Any ideas /sci/ to improve this?

Is it possible for math constants like pi and the golden ratio to change if I were to enter another universe? I want to prove my friend wrong.

Anyone on /sci/ in debt from college? How much? Is it that big of a deal if you're an engineer making 80k or a math phd making 300k etc.. Is it more important to graduate debt free or attend a more prestigious school?

I've a problem with MS Excel.. Fineli is known to have this massive data of different foods nutritional values. It would be awesome to have all this data fetched into Excel format, but how would I do that? Here's a picture to help you out with the idea - Blue is the URL and there's kCals, Carbs, Proteins, Fats -- is it possible to fetch specific information from every URL to one huge Excel table?

Let's play a game /sci/, your goal is to slow down as much as possible the scientific and philosophical progression of mankind. Here are your options: A- Destroy a whole country at a particular period in time B- Kill 5 man that made contributions to science throughout history Which option are you choosing? What are your targets?

The collected amount of time from the past and present equals to what time is left for the future. This would imply that time stretches, and the universe' times are infinite.
