Does anyone know anything about the GEET Engine? Is it the future or just a hoax? The "instructor" in this video just seems like an idiot repeated sales mumbo jumbo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xk7Y7NippQ4 If its so great why hasn't it replacement conventional motors?

What's the GRE like? I'm trying to get into grad school for the fall semester and I need to get in all my stuff asap. How long should one study before taking the GRE? Also any recommended guides (free preferably)?

hey /sci/, going into Electrical Engineering in a few months. I've been looking into joining the us air force as an officer after graduating with my degree, but I've been looking around band it seems they don't do much actual engineering, or research and development. would going into the USAF help my career at all or just make me compete against fresh undergrads four years late?

Diseases and Viruses

Hey /sci/, I come to you with a hypothetical question for a story I want to write. A disease (or virus, I don't know exactly the definitions?) affects a few people but they are able to find a treatment or cure in time for some of them at least to survive. The disease then mutates and affects others, much more seriously, and the treatment from before no longer works, but those that had it the first time around are now immune to it. Does that make biological sense?

/sqt/ Stupid question thread

120 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: ]
Let's ask some stupid questions that don't deserve their own thread. I'll start. I have an undirected graph matrix G represents a forest. Now I need to decompose G into k smaller graph matrices, each represents a tree. What is the fastest way to do this in MATLAB/OCTAVE? I wrote a recursive function on my own but I think there must be a better solution that I missed in my Discrete math class. Or maybe not.

Are quantum computers possible?

3 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: ]
I have a friend who studies QM and QC and he now believes that QC, as in quantum gate computing, will never be realized and he also thinks that large scale QC are completely impossible because it would imply that describing 2^8 particles would take more bits then there are particles in the universe. what does /sci/ think?
