I wonder, what does /sci/ think of pic related? Over time, I've increasingly noticed that this board is full of high schoolers and people who genuinely believes the 300k starting meme and dismiss engineering immediately as cock sucking, without even thinking of how good it actually is as a degree for someone who wants a good paying job.
Anyway, as a maths undergrad, I'm most interested how highly this picture rates engineering. /biz/ gives me the impression that it's over saturated, and therefore your probability of being employed, even with the appropriate degree is very low (...and probably even lower with a slightly different degree, like I have no idea why anyone would hire me for an engineering job rather than an engineer, although I do understand the case for employing non-finance people for finance).
So /sci/, thoughts?

Any famous engineer or scientist ever failed a class in college? I am studying EE and i can't stand going to some classes like "Law and ethics" , "economics", "sustainability" and so on. I also can't stand spending my time - inb4 people telling me that i am browsing 4chan - studying some other subjects that are important to EE but not of my interest, like power transmission. I am doing really well so far but is mostly because i have an immense fear of failure. I feel that if i do bad in one exam is because i am not good enough. Anyone here knows of a famous engineer or scientist who didn't give a fuck and just did what he actually wanted, meaning that he failed some classes and didn't care and also excelled in the things he was interest in? All my teachers are extremely dedicated in everything they do and are always looking with arrogance the students that get bad grades, and i never read anyone who fitted my description earlier.
