DIY Science V2

(pic unrelated) Often we get all our ideas for physical phenomena from text-books and years of scientific research and inquiry. Today we try to reach the same conclusions with radically different ideas. In essence, each of us will make up our own explanation for physical phenomena we can observe with our own eyes, and build off of each other's concepts. Prove to me you are creative /sci/, and not just a bunch of unoriginal yes-man neets. I will begin: >there are invisible arms that pull down on our feet. >These are called wall-masters, abbreviated as the wm force. >the more round you are, the more attracted they are and the harder they pull you down, but they cannot pull you through the ground.

How would extraterrestrial mathematics compare to ours?

Will wireless power transfer ever be viable on-the-go?

Say, charging your phone while you walk next to power sources? Would there be any health concerns?

What is the next big thing in Maths, /sci? Is there anything that is close to a breakthrough?

Uniform Distribution in Stats

If I have extra terrestrial life forms all 50 inches to 100 inches tall, what is the probability I pick one at random that is exactly 78 inches? The distribution is Uniform.

Can someone summarize how the universe began? Is it possible for it to be replicated?

>1 billion years ago dinosaurs hunt us for food >now, we are their natural predators The circle of life. Nature is amazing.

Caffeine

So what is the general consensus on caffeine around the /sci/entific community? I drink something around 90-160MG or so of caffeine a day, through the form of diet soda/coffee/tea, and I'm wondering if relying on caffeine to study is a good idea. Would a person be able to think more clearly and operate more efficiently on water than they would on coffee/soda?

Tossing A Brick into Mathematics

I'm not sure what to do with this, but I want google to find it when you search her name. I want her to know and I want anyone she messes with to know. I might host it on an offshore server as a website to prevent legal action from taking it down, but I am afraid google will ignore it if the server is offshore. Not sure what route to take.

Why can't /sci/ just let me believe what I want to believe about races being equal in intelligence? Why do you care so much that I don't share your views? Don't you want a world where people are seen as equal, regardless of what some scientist somewhere thinks about it?

Daily remember that IQ is not an accurate measure to intelligence or how """smart""" you are, but is a measure on how good you are at solving IQ tests, nothing else. >inb4 Someone scored less than 140. Yes, I actually scored 131, and? Having more than 140 doesn't mean anything either.

New Meme

New /sci/ meme. But seriously holy fuck linear algebra I is fucking exhausting. The proofs are easy and interesting but the first two components of the course are "matrices and determinants" and "systems of linear equations". At least we are almost done with this component and the next is vector spaces which means matrix hell stops now.

I'm aware of /sci/ and pretty much 4chan entirely's opinion on psychology. Is neurology just as bad, or is it ok? Pic unrelated, of course.

Scientifically, why are Indian people so ugly? Like what evolutionary purpose does it have? pic related.

How is it that human consciousness has an effect on quantum mechanics experiments? What would happen if the scientist looked away?

>that guy who always complains about the course not being "hard" or "challenging" enough when everyone else is struggling Why do they do this? Aren't they satisfied with their perfect GPAs and "best undergraduate of the year" awards if they find the course so "easy"? Or is it just an ego trip?
