Hey guys, I need some chem help Find the atoms whose ions have an electron configuration of nd^5 (n = 3, 4 ,5...)? Check all that apply Rn Tc N Sr Fe Re I think Sr and Rn don't work but I'm not 100%. If someone could walk through the process I would really appreciate it.

Down Syndrome might be living historic proof of evolution. Down Syndrome results when there is an extra 21st chromosome made, giving the person 3 of those chromosomes. People with Down Syndrome look differently in not only their face, but their entire anatomy. Maybe by studying Down Syndrome it can shed light on how we evolved. The biology of someone with DS is so similar to our past ancestors that might unlock SOME sort of knowledge. I have recklessly assembled some pictures without any description in hopes of throwing out this fascinating idea out to the public as quickly as possible. I hope it's straightforward. (also the hand on the bottom right is a regular present day human hand for reference. And the black and white photo on the bottom left is thought to be our 2 million year old ancestor).

Is dark matter and dark energy just a convenient excuse that scientists use because what they observe doesn't fit with what they predicted?

Can anyone explain the phase transition of water? (I'm looking for an explanation in terms of the chemistry of the atom and molecules with reference to the forces found in water/ice)

Starting in the top left corner of a 2 x 2 grid, and only being able to move to the right and down, there are exactly 6 routes to the bottom right corner. How many such routes are there through a 20 x 20 grid? And in one of n X n?

I'm about to finish my B.S. in Chemistry this year, but I want to study a master in computer science. I checked the universities I'm interested in, but they request a B.S. in computer science or equivalent. What should I do? Another alternative is to study a master in chemistry, or computational chemistry

Dear /sci/, I am trying to do something very silly, which is create a universal powerlevel list. I am looking to find the absolute strongest forces, phenomena or what have you in the entire universe. From what I understand, it seems to me that the most like contender for the position of god-tier in this list is gravity. Would you agree with this, or is there a physics thing that deserves the position more? I'm not smart enough to figure out if "energy" by itself can be a part of this list at all or if there's something else that should take credit for energy-related stuff.
