Year:2189 ching chen:Wow thier math in 2014 was so primitive I can't believe it!! Hong dee:I cant understand, they didn't invented our advenced theorem proving AI yet... Ching Chen:And look on all those nonsense physics theories Hong dee:You have to remember, they could upload thier theories to this AI which holds in itself all math and knowledge known, and update itself every second with his own new discoveries.. Ching Chen:You are right... what a sad life they had back then....

I got a chance to make my Master Thesis about Ionic polymer–metal composite (synthetic composite materials that display artificial muscle behavior under an applied voltage), so I'm researching a bit about biomedical, prosthetics and such. How do you see the future of prosthetics and enhancing implants? Do you think it's worth getting in? The alternative is a steering control of a two-wheeled vehicle.

Why is it the people who make fun of others for not getting their children vaccinated are the same ones who are slobs that don't drink plenty of water, exercise regularly, and eat healthy and take a daily vitamin to curve any loss of vitamin intake throughout the day? Vaccines are just as important as maintaining your health in other areas. TL;DR pretentious people QED'ed again

Guys, I've solved the hard problem of consciousness. Both the why and the how. Why has to do with feedback loops and how has to do with the fact that our species are engineers. I am glad my thoughts have finally become an intuitive idea. Now I only need to write everything down and i can collect my nobel. spoiler: it's not as mysterious or special as pic related makes it out to me.

Will it ever be feasible to place a maneuverable lens significantly closer to the sun than we are to collect concentrated solar energy?

How come all these particles and atoms which are themselves unorganic suddenly started behaving in weird ways and formed identities and became entities of their own, that is to say they became living beings? How is this even possible?

You're at an amusement park You go on your favorite ride, which is a roller coaster. You thought it was so much fun, you decide to go on it again. However, on the second time, a couple of blue whales get in the ride. You think to yourself, "Will this be a faster or slower ride than the previous ride?" So, /sci/ Will it be faster or slower?

The number of idempotent functions f:X\to X, i.e. f(f(x))=f(x), on a finite set, e.g. X:=\{1,2,3,4,5,..,n\}, is \sum_{k=0}^n (n;k) k^{n-k} where by (n;k) I denote "n over k". The proof for this is outlined here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Idempotent_function#Definitions Is there any way to count those idempotent functions on an infinite set? Getting away from idempotent functions, how can I approach such problems if posed to me, I mean "count the endomorphisms with the following property". The above problem I solved (before checking Wikipedia) by splitting the domain into two and count graphs, but it's probably not always so easy.

What would happen if theoretically two black holes collided? Wouldn't that be like infinity* infinity?
