Utrecht - Neeltje Jans
Might be a bit early but stage 2 of le tour will bring us to some nice parts of the netherlands. Info bit taken from the tdf website
With six of them in the top 16 of the inaugural time trial, Dutch riders have started the Tour de France on the right foot. They are numerous (20) but they're obviously in a good form too. It would be a surprise if a breakaway would take shape without any of them. After 48 kilometres of racing, the race will visit Gouda. The town has given its name to a famous cheese. It's also the birth place of Giant-Alpecin rider Koen de Kort who might have another priority than escaping the peloton to please his family and friends. He's a lead out man for one of the sprinters who will aim at showing up at Neeltje Jans all together. But shall there be crosswinds, Milan-San Remo and Paris-Roubaix winner John Degenkolb is expected to make the front part of the race. The race will literally end up on a causeway in the sea. The likes of Mark Cavendish and André Greipel hope for a bunch sprint finish but depending on the wind, it might as well look like a classic with echelons and pitfalls for the climbers.
