Imagine this scenario:
A paladin character has recently joined your party a few sessions ago. At first he seemed to be willing to work with the other characters despite alignments, but he seems to be becoming increasingly extreme in his beliefs and actions. Over the last couple of play sessions, he has done the following things:
-Taken more than his share from the loot and donated it to the poor.
-Convinced a local ruler to set up a free health clinic in his city at the expense of everyone else.
-Demands higher quest rewards from people based on their wealth.
-Offers to do jobs for free based on wealth.
-Got the military to call off their multi-year siege of the Orc nation.
-Opened up the local militia to non-human volunteers.
-Takes all credit for defeating the evil lich lord, but all he did was strike the last blow.
-Has stated that he supports inter-race marriage.
Now, considering all of this, ask yourself "am I better off than I was four sessions ago?"

Hello, friends. Join me on a magical adventure, an adventure to a place and time where everything a man's dreams for the future existed in a harmonious, if not peaceful state. A time and place where a man's romantic sense of adventure, daring, struggle and adversity met with his logical infatuation with simulated warfare. A time and place giant robots were boxy, heroines looked dodgy, fashion sense was a capital offense, protagonists were irritating, and storylines made no sense. A time and place truly magical.
The time of the 80's, the place of the Inner Sphere.
tl;dr - BT general. I bumped on this image and just had to make fun of it.

Okay we decided that on the badge of the black hats "LUX" latin for light is printedin the place of "SHERIFF" and on the small metal ring around the inverted star "And the light shineth in the darkness, and the darkness comprehended it not" is printed.
in the meantime:
One anon modified the RoS mass combat system to work with the Black Hats World Rules lite system, and we decided character start with 1 luck charm, his special charm, that has a single buff ability, 1 melee weapon, and one ranged weapon.
Also horses are not charms mechanically but they count as charms.

So the party got a last chance to redeem themselves in the eyes of the Crown after having gained quite a reputation as troublemakers. But the princess seems to not mind them quite as much as she does everyone else at court being a little troublemaker herself, and the elver pulsating migraine of her royal mother. So the party has been tasked with keeping the princess save on her forages evading the guard, and to get some sense into her little head.
She's a 16 year old redhead who likes riding, archery, and partying. She has been found passed out drunk in public, has rode citizens into the ground by accident, and is considered the one celebrity who can get any party going, for days sometimes. She knows everybody and their cousin, drinks like a hole, likes to challenge travelers to bets and contests, and has been the cause of several disturbances of the peace.
What is the princess up to tonight?

You are Daniel Holdt, a graduate of the Durnsfeld Technical School in the Free World's League. You have been going to conventions and job fairs like it was well, your job, trying to find a firm that will hire you. You thought you'd be set for life; you put your family into quite a bit of debt sending you to university to become a Battlemech Engineering and Design major, but as of yet your prospects are zilch. You had heard you'd make quite a bit of money, or at least that's what the recruiters told you when you toured the campus five years ago. Now, you are worried you'll become an overqualified dishwasher.
At least, you were.
At the last fair you went to, you were approached by a young man, maybe only five years your senior, who asked if you had any luck finding a job. You were tired, and maybe a little too honest, but he laughed it off and passed you his card:
You flipped the card over, and saw nothing on the back. Puzzled, you looked back up at the man, and he gave his best smile.
"If you're looking for a job Danniel, I have one for you. We're not a big firm, and I won't lie to you, we haven't even gotten off the ground yet, but we have some deals going, and we've got contracts for parts manufacture. All we need is a hotshot Designer to get us on the right track with a machine that'll pay the bills and get our name out there. You up for it? Ground-level position, sky's the limit for advancement. Hell you might end up with my job someday."
Goddard laughed, and offered you his hand.
After a moment, you took it, and shook it heartily.
"Welcome to Skvorec Armorworks, Mr. Holdt."
It was then you wondered how he knew your name.

So I'm planning to introduce an item into my campaign. It's an artifact that looks like a ridiculously elaborate pocketwatch, and I'm trying to think of some powers to go along with it should one of the PCs snag it from the bad guy who has it now.
The only power I've demonstrated it having is that when the wearer is killed, time itself is wound back up by 24 hours.
Now, since it's an artifact, it's obviously going to demand various forms of appeasement from the PC, and if denied these concessions, will start purposely dicking them over. So, my question is, what are some good powers/curses/tenets this pocketwatch can have for when I finally hand it off to my players?

Willard Mitt Romney is an American businessman and the Republican Party's nominee for President of the United States in the 2012 election. From 2003 to 2007, he served as the 70th Governor of Massachusetts.
Born March 12, 1947, Mitt Romney is 65 years old. He is old enough to qualify as Old in d20 Modern, taking a -1 penalty to his Str, Dex, and Con and a +1 bonus to his Int, wis, and Cha.
Given his enormous endowment from his father, Mitt Romney starting profession is probably Dilettante, especially given the wealth bonus it entails. Although White Collar and Entreprenuer also fit his business background, and Religous fits his time spent as a Mormon missionary.
Given his enormous endowment from his father, his two starting feats are clearly Wealthy, taken twice.

After Daiynafyar was beaten to death by the town guard, and Kender hacked apart by Kobolds, the mighty Stephen Colbert broke down the gates and lead the party to defeat the kobolds. Then the dwarf EchoWinds and hobbit Gruber used the key found by Fig'Tard, and entered the Castle Mistamere. They fought a bat, and split the loot: an onyx gem and silver spoons. Now, who will enter the original dungeon from the red box?
