You are Captain WILLIAM PIERCE, a combat rescue officer of the United States Air Force.
You all instinctively flinch when the shockwave from a distant explosion rattles the walls of the building, causing your assorted plates and silverware to clatter on the table as well.
Almost immediately, the room is filled with Royal Guard, both plainclothes and in tactical gear.
"Is something the matter?" The Emperor asks calmly. You note that he looks far more at peace than his own guards.
"It seems there have been multiple incidents around the city." One of the Guards says quietly. "We believe KPA insurgents are staging massed, coordinated attacks. We must get you to safety."
"Oh dear, do they know we are here?" He asks.
"They may know you're in the city, but they do not know our exact location, considering we have not been attacked here."
"I see, I see." The Emperor sighs and turns to you. "My apologies, Captain, Lieutenant. It appears that we will have to skip dessert."

Previously in "Savages!" we encountered the natives of this land for the first time, and Sir Pickeringworth proved that he was more than a pretty face!
We had the Hornlings (a name agreed upon by myself and my advisors) in our settlement, but what now to do with them! The matter weighed heavily on our minds as how we should attempt to keep up this facade, and how we should treat these natives. It would be another week until the translation headgear was finished, so we had to decide what to do with them for now.

/tg/, I have a question. What would a creature that evolved to win fights look like?
Nothing in our world has, anything smart avoids fights. A tiger may be powerful, but it evolved to hunt, not fight, its only real weapon is a bite that can't kill anything much larger than it.
So, what would a creature that instead of evolving to escape or hide or hunt needed to be able to fight creatures large and small look like?

Anathema. http://anathema.github.io/. This is a godly character generator. It has all the charms in nice little skill-trees, a soothing sight for anyone who's ever played an RPG before. It also does all of the math for you, making it very easy to experiment with builds and create character sheets easily

You are Reinhold Eschenwald, master swordsman and victor of the Royal Swordsmanship Tournament. The King was so impressed with your skill, he personally requested that you be transferred out of the army and into the Royal Guard! Not bad for an orphan who was raised in a brothel in a poor fishing village.
The only issue at this point is your assignment... you've been charged to be the personal guard of the King's only daughter Marianne. While she is the vision of loveliness that you'd expect from a Princess, her personality is... well... she seems to have some issues.
After a heartfelt conversation with Karel, you seem to have found yourself roped into Melanie's plot to get her looking all cute for today's so-called date with Emilio.

I watch the large man put the axe on his shoulders, his face shining with tears as he glares at me.

You decided to clear out the psychic research facility of the bugs, or serec, or whatever they’re called. Enlisting Dev, Rainya and Lirael to help you raided the plasma weapon armoury and headed to one of three groups of Serec, at the room of psychic activation chambers.
The room is crawling with bug-monsters, maybe forty in all. Most are the size of large dogs and walk on all six limbs, the front two of which are equipped with vicious-looking claws.
There’s about a half-dozen human-sized ones that walk upright on two limbs, and have a further four limbs, again with huge claws.
And at the back is a massive one, rivalling your warmech in size. It walks on two limbs and has two more limbs holding some sort of living gun, and a further two ending in claws.
As one, the mass of creatures turn to look at you, hissing, then they charge.
You came armed with plasma guns for just this possibility. However, if you unleash a firestorm in here, the activation chambers could be damaged, and you might lose the ability to gain further psychic powers.
You could trust to luck and simply blast them here, protected somewhat by the narrow doorway.
