For those of you who keep up with the lotr sbg game, the new rules can gleefully be summed up like so: Whips, whips for everyone. What does /tg think of the new rulebook? Btw scans requested, pic unrelated

>As a man, I could never have contained such forbidden truths... But each of us is so much more than we once were... Gazing out across the planes of possibility, do you not feel with all your soul how we have become like gods? And as such, are we not indivisible? As long as a single one of us stands, we are legion... How well do you think Kain would fare in the 40k universe? I mean he's single handedly taken on a god and sent it running. Also, stat him

Can we have a Character Art thread /tg/ ? Pretty please. I'll do my best to fulfill requests although my collection is not huge. Personally I'm after dwarves, preferably miners.

>Using Smite Evil against an agent of the Grim Reaper. >Complaining about the high HP of the Reaper's agent. >Whining like a certain white-and-purple equine when I tell him that Death and all of its proxies are True Neutral >Tell him that Death does not discriminate, care, or show any emotion in its duty >Tries to claim that the reaper is evil because it has killed possibly quadrillions or more >Trying to push human morality onto something that was around before alignment even existed. >MFW I need to stop having Gods of Concepts be part of the plot until I'm certain the players get it. If curious, the Grim Reaper in my setting regularly sends agents of ever-increasing strength against those whose time is up, but they can be fought off provided you're stronger than the agent. Basically turns power into an extended lifespan.

Good morning savages, seeing as how I don’t have much to do this morning I figured I’d run a little nation builder game for you all. It’s called Archipelago Builder because rather than taking place on a blank world, it’s an imaginary Archipelago in the middle of the ocean. You will start as the leader/chief/warlord/etc. of a small tribe. Starting off you are far from civilized; your only technologies are basic huts and spears with the occasional ability to start fire. There is no conventional magic in this setting, but who knows, maybe your tribe’s shamans can talk to the spirits and negotiate something out. Rules Follow

About a month ago, someone postet the pic of a huge card combo which allowed you to rip all your opponents permanents apart. pic related I developped a deck which should win quite consistantly on turn 3 or 4 with said combo. Take a look, post suggestions and other awesome casual combo decks

Hi /tg/! I was thinking of gifting a board game to my parents that we all can play during the end of the year. I'm inclined to get Kingdom Builder. It's Game of the Year 2012, and seems simple enough. The problem: My mother neither likes "too random" games nor games that are "too complex". I have always had the suspicion that she simply doesn't want to play those games at all. Me and my father enjoy them a lot, but there are only so many board games that are fun with only two players. So the questions are: * Does Kingdom Builder work out with two players, if everything fails? * Any other recommendations? Keep it simple, though.

>Big campaign finale >Party is fighting a lot of undead protected by some homebrewed overlords >cleric casts AoE save or die >most of the undead are just small minions and can't feasibly pass the save >I figured this would happen, so I had an aura effect that increased nearby undead base saves >Cleric gets buttflustered that not all of the minions get instantly destroyed >refuses to really interact with anybody for the rest of the session >mfw >Meanwhile the barbarian has been exchanging blows one-by-one with a single enemy >He's proud as fuck when he finally takes it down Why are casters such entitled fucks? I'm not saying if you play casters you are, but I've had several occasions where a caster got upset that they didn't instantly win everything when they cast a spell. Sure, I should probably find a system that doesn't require me to homebrew caster nrefs, but that's aside the point.

So what did the dwarves do in LOTR while all the battles were going on? I know they didn't just sit on their asses but my knowledge of the lore isn't very good. Also /tg/ tells better stories than google.

Brothers, sisters, neck beards and Valian/tg/entlemen, lend me your ears, and possibly your wallets. Tis as sad day when I must report unto thee the pilfering of my Warhammer army... My car was broken into on monday when I stopped to grab some lunch while on the road for work and some $@#&^% broke into my car and clean out my army, stereo, and my briefcase. The insurance company told me they wouldn't pay to replace it. So my 5,750 point Tyranid army is gone... I was hoping you might find it in your hearts to help a brother out...

Why my usually pro-Empire Breton Maye went stormcloak: >ban in Talos >Empire actively cooperating with the Thalmor >Death of the Septim bloodlines, emperors are no longer legitimate. >Ulfric may be extremist, but I don't think hes that racist, just a realist So in any other era, my Breton would have supported the Empire, but not now. If they have the strength to not get fucked by the thalmor *and* reclaim skyrim and the rest of their empire, ill fight for them. And my character will live to see that if it happens because I'm Dragonborn, a mage, and a member of House Telvanni, and you know those guys live forever.

Memorable Gaming Moments thread

This shit happened at the weekend, I've been meaning to write it up ever since >Hanging out at local GW >This guy comes in wearing a hoodie, jeans and a homemade cardboard Space Marine helmet >Asks if anyone would like to play with him, he's brought his army >Guy who's often around takes him up on this. This guy isn't too weird, I've talked to him now and then and he's a bit socially hostile but not a total creep >Other guy sets up his army and takes off his helmet. He's a fairly average 40K player, pale, slightly unshaven. >He doesn't give a name, and tells us he's playing his own homebrewed Ork clan called the Nukerz. >Nukerz paint all their vehicles in a garish orange and green, it seems >So they play, it's fairly standard for a while and I'm kind of watching. Eventually he starts pushing to move this Looted Wagon into the center of the enemy Tau forces >GW Staff Bro comes over and is watching at this point. >Something seems odd with the tank and I can't put my finger on it. Staff Bro notices it too, the way its assembled doesn't seem solid >Suddenly he stops it and presses down on this little lever part on the back of it and I shit you not it folds apart with Lego Technic levers and cogs he's glued into it. In the center is a big plastic nuke >"I detonate the nuke and destroy the Tau" >We're all fucking stunned, the guy he's against says "That's fucking stupid" >Staff Bro says he'll allow it for creativity >Argument kicks off, Ork guy manages to pack his shit away and leaves without the others noticing >Turns to me as he leaves the door, puts on his cardboard helmet and says "We are Nukerz" before leaving I hope I see him again. So yeah, memorable moments playing whatever you play time?
