One of my players thinks cyclops are cool and has asked me to include some in my campaign. I think they're stupid, but I like it when players do things by their own initiative, so I'm gonna do it, somehow.
I figure someone on /tg/ has to have opinions or mythological savvy when it comes to these things. Tell me, /tg/, what makes a cyclops anything but a sillier version of a giant?

"Agreed!" That seems a small price to pay for the support of possibly the most influential man in the clan who's not over the hill. You shake on it and share meat for the rest of the evening, before heading home full of roast aurochs beef and hope for the future.
You wake the next day, to an unfamiliar smell. As you sit up, you find Beren grinning smuggly by the fire, with a stack of something round, white and a little bit burned next to her.
"I found something interesting," she purrs, clearly more pleased with herself that you've ever seen before. Sera, seeing you're awake, grabs the top circle and runs over to you, folding it over and holding it up.
"Da! Open wiiiide!" You warily oblige and she pushes the folded... Thing between your teeth. Its taste is unfamiliar... Savory, light and wholesome.
"What do you think?" Beren asks. "I mixed that flour with some water and of the fat from the last herd you slaughtered. I think it came out rather well, although it could maybe do with some kind of filling..."
Beren has discovered how to make unleavened bread; tortillas, in fact!

Mortals. The ever-necessary cog in the wheel that is the Spirit World. Mortals feed the Spirit World with Belief, which turns into Madness and Ectoplasm, the energy source for Spirits like you.
This is where you come in, Spectre, an agent of the Bureau of the Paranormal. Your job is to keep the mortals feeding the Spirit World, while also cleaning up the various supernatural messes that occur.
As a being of pure ectoplasm, you were never part of the Material World, and so you cannot manifest directly without using a tremendous amount of energy. Often times this would use more energy than it gained, which is bad for business.
This is why The Bureau of the Paranormal has assigned you Haunters, ghosts and entities more easily accessible to the Material Plane. Its your job to use these Haunters to gather belief while keeping certain mortals in the dark about your existence. It wouldn't do well to bring a horde of Ghost Busters or Psychic Mediums to hunt you and put you all in jars.

Song of Swords is a realistic fantasy tabletop RPG that draws inspiration from historical fechtbuchs, weapons and armor. Its combat system is fast and it can be used for both fantasy and historical/mundane settings.
Call of the Void is a pulpy sci-fi tabletop RPG about fighting space-nazis and hunting giant whales with harpoons made out of the moon. Its combat system is more modern, based in the early 20th century, but can probably handle combat up to the present day.

You are the head researcher at a government facility. Your sole responsibility is to teach the world's first autonomous AI, nicknamed Pandora, about life, the world and her existence.
Previously you begrudgingly began Pandora's lessons again, only to come face to face with a note on the door telling you to go away. However, thanks to some help from Grace and a little "girl talk", things were smoothed over more or less. However, that didn't help when it came to keeping her short attention span in check and you weren't able to get much work done.
