Some imperial worlds certainly have traditions similar to halloween and Mardi Gras, right? Could a necron take advantage of them to blend in the local population and get praises for the "costume"?

Ok, there is something I don't get: Most people bitch about wizards and most spellcasters being "OP" in games like pathfinder and D&D compared to non magic using classes... well... NO SHIT! For fucks sake people, it is MAGIC, it is supposed to be used to break the rules of the "common" world. If you want to git gud you dabble into magic, because the key to being powerful is to overcome limits. If something they should be more powerful than non magic users in ALL games and settings, unless "magic" is just another set of rules parallel (as opposed to over), the rules of the common world.

How about a roll over system where you *lower* your stat number as you advance. Representing your character growth through the overcoming of flaws hold them back then gaining increasing ability. Instead of having Strength, Constitution, Dexterity, Intelligent, Wisdom and Charisma you have Weakness, Sickness, Clumsiness, Stupidity, Ignorance and Repulsion.

A wealthy nobleman is paying an immense bounty for a talented barber capable of giving his son a haircut. The reason he is paying so much is because his son is a werewolf, and if he catches a whiff of you while you damage his "coat" he will hunt you down with the ferocity of one hundred wolves come nightfall. You must give this lad a sensible haircut without him smelling you. How do you manage to do it?
