daily reminder that maiden with eyes of blue is the most broken card in a TCG of all time
seriously. you MTG fags think jace is bad? I played magic and yeah, nah, imagine jace, but instead he comes out turn one and basically prevents your opponent from attacking at all
40k fags think the riptide is bad? imagine if the riptide had the effect "when riptide is destroyed, deep strike 3 more riptides without scatter"
how in the actual FUCK is this card not forbidden yet?
I am seriously, legit mad

Hello /tg/, it's been a while. I doubt many people remember me, or the Children of the Mountain, but I'll try and fill you in.
A few months ago, I ran a civilisation game about a group of trolls, led by a nasty customer name Big Papa Gronk the Devourer. After taking control of his tribe, the players were given control of Gronk. He enslaved goblins, conquered dwarves, ate wizards and had recently sacked a human city when we left off.
The way I played was a little different from most Civ games, in that I focussed on the players controlling the tribe leader, not the tribe as a whole. I was praised a few times for the attention to drama and the emphasis I put on telling a story, not just playing a game. There were a few regular faces that used names, which I think really gave a group feeling to the game, without being intimidating to new players. I went on an unexpected hiatus after about 11 sessions. Now I'm back.
As I said, I don't expect many people will remember the old game, but I'm offering to start it again.
We could start a new one.
Pretty much the standard deal, first to 4, whether it's a new race or the old tribe.

TIME FOR SCHOOL!
Couple of things.
1. I’ve lived near D.C. my entire life. I just realized NOW that D.C. doesn’t have the capacity to take on cargo ships, let alone a fucking Academy ship.
2. I’m being intentionally vague about Pool’s sexuality.
3. I’m also being intentionally vague about everyone else’s sexuality.

You are Gertrude Pool, Sophomore Class President and new commander of Lafayette Girls Academy’s revived Tankery Team.
AND IT’S FUCKING TIME FOR SCHOOL!
6:30 AM waking up in the morning, gotta get fresh, gotta get downstairs gotta get the cereal put it in a bowl and a theasd fuck this Friday shit.
Anyway, you wake up early on at 6:30. Classes officially start at 8:00 but the first day of school involves an assembly at 7:30 sharp where the class presidents address the incoming freshmen. Regardless of your personal feelings towards the freshmen, you do have to participate in that.
Of course, after school, there’s also the Club Fair where hopefully Nancy has everything set up and ready.
But, past that, there are also a couple of things to remember.
1. You should probably buy a tank.
> SUBQUEST UNLOCKED
> Girls go shopping, right?
> Buy a Tank (0/1)
2. You need to hire an instructor. Lisa said she’d get in contact with the Army, probably the recruiters over at the RSS.
> SUBQUEST UNLOCKED
> Tutorials usually come first.
> Hire an Instructor
3. You need to work out the details of your first match with Robert A. Heinlein Military Academy. Might be worth calling “Ace” Levy, their Tankery Team Commander.
> SUBQUEST UNLOCKED
> Operation Torch
> Fight the first match with Robert A. Heinlein Military Academy.
Never make a deal with a Dragon: But why?

This goes out to any veteran Shadowrun players or lore sages.
So the street-wise rule of thumb is to avoid the dealings of the Dragons which on the surface seems like good advice. They're timeless immortal magical beings who have grand designs that stretch millennia and are some of the most powerful things in the system.
But if you're an ambitious Shadowrunner who doesn't mind risking his life for a shot at the big time, wealth, power and status, then why wouldn't you want to work for a Dragon? Closer the better right? Sure you're gonna get dicked over, and tossed aside the second you're no longer useful, but that's true of all runners right? Why not go for the brass ring?
I've got a game coming up and I'm trying to talk myself out of having a character who is trying to get Lofwyr's personal attention.

So you like 40k, but you don't like the price?
Don't we all. If you're in the same position, why not give Kill Team a try? It's like 40k, but on a smaller scale. 200pt list, each model acts as a seperate unit. It's like Necromunda, but less complicated and you can use any army in the full 40k game.
I want to see your lists! The only restrictions it places on lists are thus:
>FoC: 0-1 Elites, 0-2 troops, 0-1 fast attack
>Can only have 3 models minimum.
>1 model must be nominated as leader
>3 models can take a single USR each (doesn't have to be the same rule for all 3)

>Seldom has the manse itself been breached successfully and have the intruders escaped with their lives. One incursion is said to have involved a squad of Fire Hawks Space Marines, a Chapter long since declared lost in the mortal realm. While Nurgle was preoccupied drowning a Lord of Change in his cauldron, the Space Marines arrived engulfed in an inferno of flame and bolter fire to reclaim their fallen captain, whom Nurgle’s minions had once overtaken all-too easily from Khorne’s Wrathgate. The Lord of Decay has his suspicions about the source of this event, laying blame at the feet of the Blood God for the foul deed, for while the Fire Hawks brought their inferno, several blood relics and skullseeds also vanished from the garden.
As you can see a squad of marines managed to invade Nurgle's mansion and rescue their battle brother.
So I wonder why don't the Eldar mount a rescue operation for their Goddess Isha? A multi-craftworld endeavor including the Phoenix Lords would definitely breach the mansion and free Isha from her cage.
