Song of Swords is an upcoming RPG about stabbing people in the groin with medieval weapons. We finally had a fight last thread! A Zellish elf took on a monstrously large viking warrior. It was rather one-sided! Would this be considered "that guy" material? One of the people in my group just texted me after I left the session. It was around three in the morning and my stupid job had me set to work the next day at 8 in the morning. I told the group I had to leave, and I later find out that they killed my character AFTER I left the session. I'd get it if my character was ruining the campaign, but my PC was the only support character in the party and I was always actively supporting the party by reading maps, I was the only one to buy a skill in it. I'm still pissed about it, so I don't think I'm in the right mind to judge "that guys." Also, that guy thread.

Group is considering getting this and running it, anyone had any experience with the game system? Just looking at it briefly, the 'special sided dice' do seem to be a bit meh and might take some getting used to, to put it mildly. Many years ago I ran the D20 version and it was fucking terrible (like most D20 systems) so we canned that one, many... many years before there was the D6 version which we all thoroughly enjoyed for the most part and kind of hoping this might be a bit of a 2nd-wind for the space opera genre.

If every state in America were populated by a different fantasy race, what would they all be and why?

This is a game I ran before for a lot of different people. I've decided to retire it so I'm making it an official quest thread to say goodbye. Alright let's start You are walking by a castle when out of the blue an arrow whizzes past your face and pins itself to a tree. On the arrow is a message. What do you do?

Hello /tg/, I have a question... What's the general advantage of the human race in a magical fantasy world? I know most go for flexibility/adaptability/jack-of-all-stats but isn't there something else? I've been told that sometimes humans can't generate their own magic but are the only ones able to harvest magic from their surroundings or absorb it, which seems neat.

Question. How many Legionaries would it take to fell a Dragon? >Dragon is more or less Smaug - Smart and powerful but not a spellcaster >Legion is attacking a dragon that has been raiding the local province >Dragon will probably be in its lair - probably a cave or burned out town

I think the bestiaries/monster manuals would be infinitely better if all the illustrations depicted the entries in the process of totally murdering PCs. Agreed?

Received An Item From Yoymart - Awesome!

Hi, I just wanted to say thanks to the people that suggested yoymart in some of the other threads for a good place to find some models. I purchased a Fateweaver in metal from them, got it today, and it looks completely awesome. I can't tell the difference between this one and a GW model, and the shipping was crazy fast for coming all the way from China. It was also cool to be able to get it in metal since the failcast has so many problems. I'm looking forward to getting some resin next and seeing how that turns out.

Archive: > http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Mountain%20Bandit%20Quest > New Year's Eve? Wassat? You consider the question of the feast as Stella rests her head on her hands, keeping still - waiting for you to massage her. 'Do you think it should be a lavish feast?' 'I don't see why we couldn't make it a lavish affair, if you want,' she murmurs. Meanwhile you shift and lay your hands on her shoulders, feeling the contours of her shoulderblades and those firm, supple muscles. As you knead, Stella makes a cute purring sound. 'Mmm.' 'It's all very tense. Loosen up.' 'I'm trying to-' then you move your fingers around her underarm to knead there, and she suddenly jumps and bursts into giggling fits. 'Don't!' 'You're ticklish? Really?' 'What's wrong with that?!' She looks up at you, still laughing. 'Watch it! Anyway... so if you want to prepare a lavish feast, we should probably take a few days to secure the grain and supplies. And then maybe we should... get meat? And, I don't know... spices of some sort? Man, I've never held a feast before... mm. Oh, that's nice.' You pause. Your hands are on the small of Stella's back now, feeling the little arch and then the slope up to her rump. Subtly, you tug on her shirt to reveal just a little skin. She doesn't seem to mind... > Slip under the shirt. > Massage her behind. > Other. > Also, let's talk about the feast. How lavish do you want it to be? Who do you wish to invite? You don't have to send your men to buy grain, for instance - you could invite the village chiefs up, if you want.

Think of the most fun you had at the RPG table. What system were you playing and did it in any way contribute to the fun levels?

/tg/, I have a problem. I think I might be a bit of a power-gamer. As far as mathfinder is considered anyways. I spent a lot of time building a tankish, style using Style Master Monk/empowered fist/Serene Barbarian. We were level ten, and originally, when I talked to the dm about him we both reviewed the sheet and deemed it overpowered. So I toned it down, swapped out a few feats, and put skill points into "Craft, painting". Well, we finished having our game night tonight, and by the end of it. EVERYONE, (except for myself) thought that my character was way too powerful. They looked up feat rulings, made sure I had my math done correctly, and repeatedly asked if I had found the build online somewhere. None of which was a problem mind you, I wasn't offended or anything, but, to be honest I felt a little proud knowing that they thought my build was something posted online. Anyways, when I dropped by the GM's house the next day (we're bros, and I was helping him move a couch/wanting to talk about my character). We talked it out, and I agreed to redo my character, so my AC dropped again (from 35 to 30) and I did some mild retconn, and the issue was dropped. Now, based /tg/, I personally feel like Pathfinder, as a system, is something that is generally meant to be "fiddled" with. As in, I feel a need to build an exceptional character so that I don't die due to bad rolls. Neither of the groups I play in are very roleplay heavy, and most. Well, all of our in-depth meeting with NPC's seem to end with conflict. So I try to build sturdy characters. My important stats were. AC:35 Attacks: Claw, Fist, Bite, Gore. All at a +19. I also had, Uncanny dodge, evasion, Ki Pool (standard, not qiqonng), a +1 dodge from the Savage Barb. With the maneuver master I used Crane+Crane wing, and the first two tiers of dragonstyle. TL:DR, made a character that was termed OP by the table, got muh mixed feelings, looking for reassurance/ punishment. Pic is what my character looks like.
