>Admissions gained solely by hypnotic and other mind-effecting magics are inadmissible as evidence in a court of law.
>Uses of Detect Evil, etc must be corroborated with evidence that the accused actually committed the crime.
In Pathfinder (yes yes play another system I know I know) do you think such a law could be seen as legitimate or do you think it's railroady bullshit? I've been toying with the idea of a sort of courtroom drama/investigation subplot but it wouldn't seem so fun if one spell could just skip everything.
My rationale for such a law is that it would prevent people from using stuff like, say, suggestion to get people to divulge false confessions. Also to prevent people from going, "He's evil, therefore he's guilty!" since detecting as evil doesn't actually mean that they did the deed in question (or, worse, the detector could be a fake).

Saw that the last EDH General 404'd, so here's a new one!
Now for the latest news within EDH - Sylvan Primordial is now banned! Didn't really expect it, but not really too surprising. Though there are worse offenders to the format, like Consecrated Sphinx. I guess blue is allowed game warping toys while green isn't.
What will you be using in place of Sylvan Primordial, our not so good but apparently still too good primeval titan replacement? I'll be fitting in the new Xenagos god in the decks that can, and Woodfall Primus in the ones that can't.
Now for obligatory shameless self promotion of my own deck:
Please trashtalk the deck all you want while proclaiming it breaks the spirit of the format, remember to post your own decks while shamelessly fishing for views!
We might even get a few good card suggestions!

Here's a question, should DMs treat players differently according to gender?
Because in our group, if we have a guy playing a chick and that chick gets captured by a gang of bandits or whatever, our man can expect that his character will probably be raped. I mean it’s not something anyone necessarily wants or needs, but it does occasionally happen as part of the experience.
On the other hand, I notice that if we have a woman in our group who plays a chick in-game and gets herself into the exact same situation, something “unique” tends to happen. As in the girl tends to get really offended that I pseudo-raped her and all the white knights in the room will literally flip the table and try to carry the psychologically-molested and traumatized madam off in their arms just so they can try and score the same treatment the pretend-marauders just had with her in a completely imaginary setting.
