Hey, /tg/. I'm looking into Dystopian Legions lately, and have finally decided on preordering the Empire of the Blazing Sun starter.
Issue is, I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to do for a paint scheme. I was able to grab a couple of Osprey books from TPB of WW2 and Russo-Japanese War Japanese troops, but wasn't able to grab any Samurai-period art that might help out.
So, any possibility of getting help that way? Also, Osprey/Dystopian W|L General, if you guys want to make it either.
Pic semi-related, the only Asian-themed one I seem to have on this computer.

>You will never be a Roman Legionary barely holding out against the Parthians at Carrhae.
>You will never hear Fabius speak in the aftermath of the battle of Lake Trasimene
>You will never see the phalanx of Perseus break at the Battle of Pydna, ending 400 years of Hellenic dominance in warfare.
>You will never hear a glorious speech by Cicero in the forum as the civil wars rage around you.
Are there any game systems that are set in Ancient Rome? Don't say Vampire, I've looked at that book, and while I enjoy the way it portrays Rome and how well it's researched, I want to be a Roman, not a Roman Vampire.

I'm interested in what you guys think about some new stuff that is going into my indie game/early dev game/homebrew/whatever you wanna call it: Book of the Fallen (name will change unfortunately, due to association with Malazan)
ITT I will not ask you to download the manual and check it out, as I normally do (unless you just want to, by all means). I am going to very ambiguously describe some content we're adding in and see what you think. To me, this stuff isn't inherent tied to BOTF, so discussion can just be about the ideas.
Branch of the Conqueror. For those who haven't read/will not read, the Conqueror is sort-of like a bard, who supports a party, but uses battle shouts instead of music. Conqueror also employs "Tactics" that modify his/her allies' more advanced combat abilities in a way he/she chooses.
The Standard Bearer is like Conqueror+, has a flag that he/she can place, affect an area around it based on his/her Rank, and gives bonuses to his/her allies that occupy the area. Standard Bearer can also carry the flag and be a moving area of influence. Standard Bearer also has "Heroics" which become available for use, and become more and more powerful as he/she gets closer and closer to death... Last stand type abilities. In general, these abilities are expensive (cost a lot of the character's "Morale") but have pretty crazy effects, like choosing an ally and restoring ALL of his/her "Fatigue" (pool used to throttle the use of advanced combat maneuvers).
