Either way. Anyone know if this Chaos Legions united stuff means All chaos or just nurgle.

I'd like to run a Nurgle/khorne mixed army but wary of painting and building them just yet.

How do Orcs and Goblins play?

SEE, Dryads and Treemen are not actually alive. they are spirits given form - and WHFB world is filled with spirits anyway. So they are of little interest to Nagash, I believe - you can't make a zombie out of tree, it's not MtG. So Drycha hopes that Naggy wipes out the Elves and leaves Athel Loren alone (which he would likely do).

Chaos can corrupt and destroy these spirits though, so destruction of Chaos is welcome. Which gives Drycha another reason to help Nagash.

Back then the realm of chaos was connected to both universes and chaos space marines might wind up in the old world as a stop over or champions might get gifted technology.

The realm of chaos in the north is bigger on the inside and time flow differently, you could probably bump into Tzeentch samurai and the ruins of a chrome and glass city on the same day.

The gods where known to just scoop up ramdomers and demand they fight and to chaos space marines the old world probably looks like any other world in the eye.

Much more feasible. Vampire Counts have many juicy monster options for a low-model army. Even their block of elite units are ok for the most parts. Therefore, you have good variety of choice for building your army while remaining relatively competitive. It is the exact opposite of orcs, where you need to ignore the majority of the army book if you want to barely stand a chance. If you want to play orcs and you don't like Savage Orcs Big Uns with additional hand weapons then you start out with an uphill battle.

Grimgor. Orcs and goblins are always around doing jack shit and they have been important in fluff since the first days of whfb.
ogres are here since 2 editions and are more detailed then other factions. Besides we at least know stuff about what is going on for them, like the explosion of the firebellies' god volcano.

Just to bring up Blightkings again, them being on 40mm bases but not being MI does really throw a wrench in things. While base size isn't an absolute indicator of troop type, it was a pretty good indicator up until now.

Though now that I think about it, they do sort of even out with regular infantry, who in non-horde formation get 1 attack per 20mm^2 of the front two ranks. So a unit 6 models wide, 4 model deep would have 12 attacks in the front arc. Spatially, a unit of blight kings would take up the same are being 3 wide 2 deep and would get 12 attacks. It's just that the normies have 24 wounds while the Blighties have 18, though they're so hard to wound they are defensively at the advantage.

Lizardmen have had two new rulebooks since I started playing, and both times got huge kits and were really popular. It's not like you've not get any attention ever. The Khaine book is rumoured to be HE and De vs Lizardmen, anyways. By the enigmatic goddess showing up to take them to a distant shore that only their expertise can win and creating a portal like the Slann do, my guess is Wood elves! will bebacking up the lizardmen. Slann manipulation everywhere.

So the stormvermin are equipped with hand weapon, halberd, heavy armor and are able to take the shield.
Let's suppose I take the shield. That means that when they're attacking they attack at strength 4 (with the halberd) but they have only the heavy armor (5+ armor save) and no parry save, but they have a 4+ armor save on the shooting attacks.
I got that right?

I think its mainly because they're the stereotypical 'lizardmen illuminati' type of fluff like what the Necrons used to have in 40k. Oooo they're secretly mainpulating magic oooOooOo. It might be true and yes the Slann are probably a massive factor in the continued existence of the world, but it's kinda a dull job, and they're half a world away from the main setting. It's kinda hard and shitty to have SUDDENLY JUNGLE CREATURES in Germany.

What would be pretty cool is if they took a Warcraft-esque approach and treated the lizards like trolls. They have small offshoot communities everywhere, with hidden Aztec structures even in the cold hinterlands of the north. The Lustrians would still be the most powerful and dominant theme-wise, but having them closer to the 'action' would really benefit them, I wager. I want to see lizardmen vs orcs vs zombies free-for-alls in the forests of the Old World with voodoo magic flying everywhere dammit.
