Is it just me or are there like a shit ton of US import stores that try to pander to the US market with lofty mission statements about how they're meeting "the growing demand for high-quality hobby and toy products from Japanese manufacturers" but in the end are much more expensive than importing straight from Japan via stores like AmiAmi, HLJ, Hobby Search, CDJapan, Amazon, etc...? Even without the amazing discounts available on the Japanese stores, they're even more expensive than the MSRP. These stores keep getting pushed and promoted and I feel really bad for some of the collectors out there.
I mean, how blatant are these people about trying to exploit the market under a false pretext? The GSC store being one of the most cynical, monopolizing and capitalistic stores out there, literally holding accessories hostage unless you pay through your nose for them.

Read the guide:
>Kotobukiya is making reproduction kits for Arnval and Strarf based on new Machineca (?????) bodies designed by Apsy.
>Plastica.jp will sell blank bodies once he's happy with the final design.
>Megami Device (???????) is another proposed line using that new body, so they'll be compatible too. They could be GKs, model kits, or figures. Too soon to know.
>Frame Arms Girl continues with an unarmored kit plus the architect is up next, with another mech on the way.
>Blade teamed up with Megahouse to make some cheaper, 8cm tall 1:1 battle robot figures called Desktop Army. Their plan includes 3d printable add-ons to appeal to customizers.
tldr it's a good time to be a Shinkifag.
Where to buy second hand Shinkis:
>eBay/Amazon - only if you hate having too much money. Avoid Latvia.
>Mandarake - search ???? and don't trust listing images (they sometimes get mixed up).
>Yahoo Japan Auctions - same kanji as above, you'll need a proxy, try Noppin or FromJapan.
>Taobao - search ???? and use a proxy like Taobaoring, Taoboafocus, or Bhiner.
>Amiami occasionally gets some preowned. They tend to sell fast.
>Japtou still has some old stock but their system is unreliable.
>Check the BST, My Figure Collection, and Busou Shinki World for sales.

Hey there /toy/, it's time for a giveaway!
All you've got to do is recreate your favorite reaction image using toys and post it here.
Any brand and scale is fine, so get creative!
The rules are pretty simple
>One entry per person
>Must email me with your submission, what the picture is referencing, and another picture with a timestamp of the toys in whatever recreation you choose
This is just so that people actually have to contribute and aren't just reposting other's images.
>Prizes are chosen by the 5 winners in order from 1-5 so the first person to win gets the best choices.
Winners will be chosen via a random number generator.
