I intend to travel to Ireland this october, and unfortunately i need a visa. Now, I have gathered all the domunets I need to get the visa, but I also have to fill in some on-line formular. One of the things they want to know is what kind of passport do I have, and I have no clue. It's an... ordniary one. The one you get when you apply for one. These are the options i can choose from: Aliens passport Diplomatic passport Gouverment Official passport Internationally recognised travel document National passport Service Travel document (1951 convention) Any help?

I have to be out of the house in 25 or so days, and I recently got a US passport. I was thinking about going to SEA due to cheapness & cool stuff to draw. Thailand looked cool because I can supposedly go there for a month with just a US passport and I don't need any vaccinations. I don't understand how to get visas to continue traveling through Asia when you're there. Also does anything really happen if I were to stay there for a lot longer than 30 days without getting a visa besides a petty fine? I've been reading through Thai visa forums but it's such a clusterfuck. I also want to go to India badly, but I assume it might be a bit too intense for someone who's only traveled within the US. ATMs are supposedly the way to go and nobody uses cashier checks right? Sorry for the newbie questions. I've been trying to Google stuff but everything seems needless confusing & in broken English. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hey /trv/ Ameribro here. I had come across some news articles about this great party spot in Spain called Magaluf. I come here, hoping that some of you fine folks have some personal experiences with traveling there as i would love to visit for my summer vacation next year. Things like, atmosphere, hotel prices. Im a traveling partier/whorist and this place seems right up my ally, so if possible any outlook or perspective would be great!. And also pic related. What i pulled from the wiki article.

I was told that you guys could help me whilst "vagabonding" is concerned. I don't visit this board often, so here goes... How do I go about having an interesting life like Rimbaud or Tolstoy. This shit seems rather difficult to achieve in the 21st century? And yes, this is /trv/ related, both of these individuals did a lot of traveling.

Alright so let's say that, hypothetically now, you're traveling abroad and in a delirious haze you spent way too much of your fucking money on a few days of enjoying yourself and you can only afford to stay at a hostel every other day until your next paycheck. Let's say, in the BC area. What would you do during those off nights to hang out or sleep at?

A week in Ams

Hey /trv/, as part of a television conference I am currently spending a week in amsterdam. The conference was just sunday and yesterday but I am using up my vacation days to stay longer at a hostel. Now besides the coffee/smart shops and the legal prostitution (I'm not really into those things), what else are some really great things to do here? I bought a ticket to the rembrandt and van gough museum today. But I want to see some things that locals do and find fun too. Thanks

A month ago my boyfriend of 5 years recently went on his birthright trip to Israel. He's not a religious person, incredibly non-emotional, and calls bullshit on anything that has even the slightest sheen of propaganda (even stuff he agrees with!), so I didn't think it would get to him. But since returning something's been off. Any time Israel is mentioned, he gets into an incredibly uncharacteristic emotional hysteria. If he hears anyone suggest some people are justified in having something less than an unconditional love for Israel, he'll immediately throw accusations of anti-Semitism, Jew-hatred, and a hidden desire to see the destruction of the Jewish people. Yesterday, when discussing Ted Cruz's almost-unanimously-denounced comments on Israel at a conference for oppressed Middle Eastern Christians, I said it was tacky of the Senator to harp on an unrelated, divisive subject. My boyfriend flipped out and through near tears of anger said if persecuted religious minorities can't be bothered to stand with Israel, then they deserve to get slaughtered by ISIS. This is someone who is incredibly anti-war, anti-American foreign intervention, anti-foreign aid for Israel, and has many Muslim friends. Could anyone who's been on one of these birthright trips (or knows someone close who has been) tell me what the fuck is going on? Will it wear off soon? >inb4 "Hurr durr ur dating a JOOOO wut did you expect?!?"
