Hey /trv/ i'm from Montreal,Quebec and am interested in traveling to Fargo North Dakota to go and visit my girlfriend up there. I was wondering if it would be cheaper If I flew from Plattsburgh/Vermont instead of flying from Canada. Does in-country flying usually cost less? Any help would be nice, Would anyone mind sharing some good flight websites/tips on getting good deals? Thanks.

Hi dutchanon, I'm going to Amsterdam to see a concert this weekend and was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction concerning which prepaid card is best to get if I would like to get some internet browsing done on my phone? I've checked out the different sites and think I'll be going for Telfort cause their simcard is free and you get 25MB for free when you activate it, which is probably enough for googling and GPSing on my phone. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Hi /trv/! Taking an 18 day trip to Paris at the end of April and I was thinking of spending 4 or 5 days in another city not to far from Paris. Brussels is an option, as are parts of Switzerland. Basically, if you had five days to spend within a 4hr train ride from Paris where would you go? It's probably helpful to note that I don't drink or ingest drugs any more so party centric places are not high on my list. Ha, pun! History, particularly the medieval sort are an interest of mine Thanks in advance!

Seattle

How many of you live there? How many of you have visited? What is the cost of living? What is the city's economic state in general? What industries are picking up out there? Don't get me wrong, I've been thinking long and hard about moving to Seattle ever since I heard about it being the rainy city full of model type bitches, but I didn't see it being any "better" or "worse" than where I am currently, Jacksonville, FL, but this whole not getting harassed by local police for smoking weed kind of changed all that. So, don't think of me as just another pothead flocking to smoke out in Seattle, rather, someone who's put a lot of thought into wanting to relocate to Seattle(mainly to get out of the south), that has finally been convinced Seattle is at the very least, far more progressive than the city I am in now, without being overrated like New York, Miami, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.

I'm posting this to both /jp/ and /trv/ since I have absolutely no fucking clue where it would fit. Anyways, later this month I'll be heading out on a business trip to Japan (Kyoto for about two weeks) while I'm there however, an old college friend is getting married there to some Japanese girl he met while studying abroad. He's invited me to the ceremony which leads me to my question. Do you guys know of any tips on etiquette for Japanese weddings that a westerner might not know? I mean, I know I'm not important in any way to the ceremony but I'd rather not accidentally embarrass my friend.

Cost of tobacco

Don't know if this is the right board to ask or if I should try /int/. However I would like to know the current going price for a 50g pouch of amber leaf or golden virginia tobacco is in The Netherlands or a average price in general. I have searched already but feel I would get a more accurate response from someone who lives there or has recently been. pic unrelated

Hi, I want to climb Mt Everest. I'm physically fit, and used to hike a lot in Alaska, but I've never done a mountain and I don't exactly have crampons lying around. I'm just looking for a touristy beginners treck up this thing. The lonely planet package is for about $1,500 and the REI one is for twice that. Does anyone have any thoughts, suggestions, or reviews from their own experiences they bestow on me? I'm an American living in Seoul, so I'd imagine airfare should be pretty cheap.

Minimum Stopover Times

Hello there /trv/, I have a rather simple question for the more experienced fliers/flyers (grammar nazis are undecided on that one, apparently): I shall be travelling via plane within the US in the next few months, and due to being a poor fag I shall be using flights with several stopovers/changes. Without thinking, I have bought tickets for flights that only have 90 minutes in between each other at the same airport. Will this be enough time to get between them? tl;dr - what is the minimum amount of time one should leave between connecting flights to ensure you don't miss 'em.

I'm planning to visit North Korea some time early (within the first 5 months) next year. I'm already pretty familiar on what the tour will be like and what to expect. I just have to settle with the right travel company as there seems to be a few different ones with different packages and prices. I'm thinking 5 days give or take would be enough for me. koryogroup.com seems popular. What do you know about it? Does anyone here have any experience and would like to recommend me something?
