Is it better to go to a bunch of countries in Europe and experience maybe 1-2 in them, or spend your entire time in 1-2?

Anons, I need your sage advice. I'm going to be sent to Philippines to work for a while and I've never been to Asian countries before. Is Philippines (specifically Manila) a good place to work/live? Tell me about your experiences. I need to know how they treat white men there. Hard mode: I'm Russian. What will it change?

So hey /trv/. I've never really visited or posted here before but I am entirely sure that you are the best board to ask about this. I am 20/m. My relationship is going downhill too fast. I live in NYC but this isn't the place for me. I can't for the life of me move on from past issues when every time I turn around I see another part of my history. I don't really fit in with the people here nor do I really appreciate the reasons for living here. I have about 1 person in my life and shes turning into a ghost. I don't want to stay here. I want to leave. I want to disappear from existence. I already have a new bank account and new emails and whatnot. I'll change my phone plan when I need it and I don't really have many worldly belongings. Everything in my life can fit in a bag. I have about 2k dollars to my name and that's not enough to even pay rent + food. I am done here. I refuse to continue living where I am. My question to you is how should I go about leaving the country, where should I go and how to get on my feet there? I know survivalism/whatnot but I don't plan on setting up a tent somewhere. I know the plane ticket will cost the most for me but its only a 1 way so what ever. The other problems are citizenship, legal working papers of some sort/lack of address to get things like a vehicle eventually/documentation/etc. Please if anybody has any pity on a broken guy who just wants to redo life please help me out here. I don't want to stay in contact with anybody from my current life. I don't want to be found by anybody. I want to move on. Its my life not theirs. inb4 "join the military". I already did and I was already chaptered out. (general discharge)

I'm going to Ladakh, India in June. It's a high altitude desert region in the Northern most part of the country. I'll be spending a majority of the two week trip at 12,000 ft, and I'll be trekking up to a maximum altitude of 15,000 ft. I'm comfortable with every other aspect of the trip besides the lingering threat of high altitude sickness. I'll be spending the first three days of the trip mostly resting and adjusting to the altitude. Has anyone had high altitude sickness? If I have a history of ear issues, will I be more susceptible. I'm a bit overweight-would getting in shape make me any less likely to be uncomfortable?

Going to Costa Rica for New Years

0 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: ]
Hey /trv/ I am going to Costa Rica with 3 bros on Dec. 30th for 2 weeks. Going to celebrate new years while exploring the country. I am deciding on what backpack to purchase for this trip. We will be hiking, staying in hostels, clubbing, casinos, beach, etc etc basically everything we can possibly do. I decided a backpack would be best for traveling since a) hiking volcanoes lugging all my clothing for the week will be best this way. Any tips on what to do in Costa Rica for New Years? Any tips on what bag to buy? I am looking at the EMS brand Longtrail (price) and an Osprey 70L bag. Also, complete side note: In the future, I have been saving rewards points on my CC, and one lucky /trv/ bro will receive a trip from it (thoughts on this?)

Thailand-Cambodia

Hi, /trv/! I will go to Thailand and Cambodia for more than 30 days from December to January. I want to rent car and trip by car in Thailand and Cambodia. So I have the questions. According to official rule, I need to have the visa for longer than 30 days stay in Thailand, but I'm planning to visit Cambodia, therefore I'll stay for less than 30 days, but my plane tickets are for more than 30 days. Can I just explain this situation to customs official on arrival or I need some papers, like tickets/hotel reservation? Also, can i drive from Thailand to Cambodia by rented car and how is traffic and road condition in Thailand and Cambodia?

Attn airport employees.

My buddy might be screwed, what does /trv/ think? Here are the gory details: We live in the US, he buys a ticket to Thailand for his six yr old son. Gives them the number to his son's EXPIRED passport when buying the tickets, turns out they expire at age 5. We did not know this. Plane leaves in the wee hours of Monday, no time to fix this. Here's the thing, he has dual citizenship and a valid Thai passport. So the question is, will he be able to travel TO Thailand with his Thai passport?? Once there we know he will be able to get the US document renewed, so that's not an issue.
