I'm going to Vancouver, BC tomorrow. Spending 1 full day and a morning before heading back to Seattle Sunday afternoon. Never been to Canada, don't have much to spend, don't know where to stay. I like live music, party hostels, and great views. Any recommendations?

Taking a ladyboy and his sister shopping at the mall today. (Had sex with both long time last 2 nights + they hooked me up with Viagra and coke) What should I expect to spend today? (They both swear they only need new underwear.)

Tsukiji Market relocating. I'd guess you all know that come 2016 the original Tsukiji market will cease to exist, as it will be moved to make way for the 2020 Olympics. I want to see the original before it is moved and was wondering if anyone knew when the moving process starts? So that I can travel to Japan before this date. Visit it while you can.

Hey /trv/, I'm searching for a good idea for the summer holidays with my girlfriend. Right now we don't really know where to go. We decided that we want to make a 2 week long trip. 1 week we want to travel around and in the second week we want to stay at a hotel/apartment and chill. So do you have an idea which country would be nice to start with? We are both "beginners" in terms of traveling around. We are germanfags, so if you could recommend something in Europa it would be nice. TL;dr: Me and my girlfirend-> 1 week traveling, 1 week relaxing, which country would you recommend? pic related, from our last tour

I have 3 weeks off and want to visit Europe. I've only been to Paris before and that was when I was really young. Would it be feasible to go through Spain, France and Italy in 3 weeks? Also are there other countries/cities you would recommend over these?

Hi /trv/, my girlfriend and I are planning on spending a week in Dubrovnik this summer and were wondering if anyone here had any experience with budgeting out there. We've both not been to the region previously so have no idea how much money we need to bring.

You have a long weekend to burn in either New York or New Orleans - which do you choose? I'm not actually trying to plan a vacation, I'm just curious to know what people would pick. I have a definite preference and it's not the same city I would have gone with a decade ago.

Hey guys, so I have a week off in about 2 weeks and was thinking of going to Israel. A few questions. 1. Probably the one I'm most curious about, I know Israeli customs and passport Controls can be outright cruel, and the thing is that my passport isn't exactly in fresh condition. I managed to spill beer on it once, (don't ask) Everything is still fully legible but some pages are crinkled/folded and the passport looks really worn now. I don't care much for it but my dad is convinced they won't let me into the country because of it (he's a pretty paranoid person though). Will this get me into trouble? 2. Is it easy to find cheap accomodation while there or should I book hostels and stuff in advance? I don't know if I should get a week's stay in Tel Aviv and do 1 day excursions or if I can easily travel around the country and find places to sleep. 3. I'm going in mid January, what's the weather like and what clothes should I bring? Can you still go to the beach and swim or is it too cold? 4. What places must I visit and what should I absolutely avoid? I'm planning on Tel Aviv (and Yaffa), Jerusalem and Bethlehem, what else is a must-see? Thanks.

Hey /trv/, I've been wanting to travel for a while, and gave finally worked out some kind of game plan. I want to go to Lisbon, Barcelona, South France (Marseille more than likely), Prauge, Budapest, then backpack around Istanbul and Ankara. I would like to have 21 days doing this, but this would be highly unlikely, 16 would probably be the more realistic goal. I plan on flying to Lisbon, then backpacking an arc through Europe using a combination of trains and buses (whichever is cheapest), then flying back to the US from Istanbul. Some things about me; I'm American, young, I'm Black, I'm pretty fit, well read, a photographer, and a runner (I want to run in each city I visit). I am shooting for late May-early June. With all these things said; I understand there are a lot of logistics/planning involved in my trip, and this is a very early rough draft. My first question is silly, but I've got to ask; what are the chances that I'll encounter racially motivated violence in the cities that I've listed? Second; how feasible is it, to CHEAPLY ($3000) experience the most these countries/cities have to offer in 16 days? Third; How hopelessly am I in over my faggy nignog head? Meaning; what are some things that as an American, and a relatively inexperienced traveler, have I failed to account for? I am not looking to be dissuaded or coddled, just told the truth. Thanks

Do you ever regret traveling?

Have you ever regretted traveling? I never thought I would hear the words, much less speak them. A little over a year ago I devoted myself to full time traveling, I wanted to see what all the world had to offer. It has brought me more joy and awareness then I ever thought possible, but it has also came at a cost I wasn't expecting. The people I meet along the way are life changing and motivational beyond words, The places I go are so beautiful I tear up, I have finally learned to slow down and appreciate everything like I have always wanted to do... But when I try to explain it to others I am seen as mentally ill. The people I meet and love along the way travel somewhere else to never be seen again. Even if our paths cross again the connection is different, They have lived adventures and stresses that I cant imagine and vise versa. I come back 'home' to visit friends and family and just lay in bed longing for the natural beauty. I spend a couple months living in a friends storage closest, sleeping on a cold cot and typing away on a busted note book trying to save up enough pennies to get back on the road and realize the not so physical cost of this life style.

Hey, I got a job offer from Poland in Katowice. The salary would be about 5000 PLN gross. How bad is the salary? Is it enough to live a comfortable life without saving any?

Howdy travelers, Where do you go for travel information? The sticky provides some resources for short-term travel booking type stuff, but I'm planning a several-month trip through north Africa (Mahgreb). The Lonely Planet guide for Africa sounds like an ideal resource, but I'm not willing to pay ~$20 for the relevant chapters and can't seem to find a torrent. So, where does one search for more in-depth info?

Hi /trv/, 2 years ago I studied abroad in Sweden and was denied a residency permit while I was there because I showed them an incorrect form. Since at the time I didn't have enough in my bank account to show them updated forms and get my visa after applying again, I decided to just stay in Sweden without my student visa. I'm from the US so I didn't need a visa to get into the country but I did overstay the 3-month non visa period by about 3 months. I want to travel to Sweden again this summer and I'm wondering if this will even be a problem--I flew into Copenhagen and flew out from there, so that's where my stamps are from. Will Denmark know I overstayed and care about it, or am I just worrying for no reason? Also, will this jeopardize my chances at getting a student visa in Europe sometime later or will they not even know about this? I know I should've tried to reapply for the visa but at this time I think that's a moot point.
