Been to Bangkok for 2 weeks and of course want to go back. I am thinking Pattaya for 2 weeks and then back to Bangkok for another 2 weeks. Is there enough in Pattaya to keep me there for a month?

Hey /trv/ I'm planning a small road trip to Myrtle Beach and I was going to get a hotel through hotwire but the website I was using to see what the "secret" hotels were seems out of date. Is there anyway to check them ?

So I'm going to be living in my car in a few weeks. It's by choice and I've done it before. Last time I didn't have a gym membership for showers and etc. This time I would like that. Which gym is the best for travelling across country and visiting many locations?

East to west coast USA

Britbong here. I was in the pub last night drinking hot milk tea and warm beer with a couple of m8's and had the Idea of driving across the USA. New york to LA Without researching we hoped a month would be enough to get across and see some stuff on the way? We all have British driving licences but dont know if that would let us drive an RV or not. Are we better to get a normal car and find hotels? Is it possible to hire a car/rv from NY and return it in LA? anyone here done something like this? Any Idea of costs? Any tips or Ideas? I've only been to the USA to go snowboarding in Colorado so I've not seen much of the country outside of TV.

Hi /trv/, first timer here. Do you have sex tourism threads here? It just dawned on me that I could spend a week in Thailand with blowjobs and beer every morning, great undiscovered foods all day long, and vibrant nightlife with a 100% chance of a sexy ass female coming home with me. That would yield enough debaucherous memories to last a life time, for only a few months savings. Share your experiences with sex tourism.

everest

so, I've recently got into "activities of an enduring nature" basically I've been doing a marathon or two, I climbed mt,Kilimanjaro, and ive done some other challenging things. the idea was to constantly push myself and achieve great things by doing so when i was climbing Everest a guy i was with said he was doing the "7 summits" which to those who don't know, is the challenge to climb the highest peak on each of the 7 land continents. it got me really interested and I've decided I want to climb them, but im worried about climbing Everest, it just seems like one hell of a challenge, probably one of the hardest out there. like i said i did climb Kilimanjaro, but that's the only mountain I've ever climbed and its not exactly a big mountain. so my question is for those who have actually attempted, successfully or not, to climb Everest, what were the initial challenges when you set out to do it? how did you raise the money, how much did it all cost in the end? how did you train for it? what did you bring with you/ what was useful what wasn't? what was hardest about the climb? for those who succeeded the climb share your feelings when you got to the top. and any pics you have of the moment!

The Baltics

Has anyone ever traveled in the Baltics? I'm going there over the summer for 2 months for business and I had some general questions. 1) How are people? Are they friendly? Etc. 2) How is the food? What is good, what should be avoided, etc. 3) Is it expensive? 4) How are the women there? Do they avoid foreigners like the plague, or are they generally easy to talk to? 5) What are some cool things to do while I'm there? I can't afford to travel too far away due to business.

>flying from Europe to Asia via LAX >have not been to LA before >arrive, assume it'll be an amazing airport >discover I can't simply transfer flights like in any civilized country, need to go through customs, collect bag, recheck bag, go back through the airport >discover Terminal 2 where my flight is out of is a tiny piece of junk, literally no restaurants except for a little kiosk selling sandwiches due to renovations >no air conditioning, terminals are not connected, must leave terminal and walk down the street >how_is_this_an_american_airport.wmv >fat people everywhere, so many fools with flat rimmed caps looking like the Jersey Shore show >wait in line to recheck bags, it's all plebby tourists on their return flight with fake LV bags, etc Worst airport experience ever. Is the city really as bad as the people at the airport would suggest? I have never had a desire to see that city but 7 hours there had me laughing at all of the stereotypes coming true at once.

Hey guys, I've traveled a ton in the last year and a half and will be going home to the United States from India early on Tuesday morning. I have a five-hour layover in Amsterdam Schiphol and was wondering if this would be enough time to leave the airport and explore the city. Of course, I'm not delusional and know that five hours wouldn't afford me a whole lot of adventure time - but do you think it'd be doable or worth it? I've tried looking up the same question on Google and found a lot of mixed reports but nothing definitive. What are the security lines at AMS usually like? Are they bad? Like, I'd feel pretty comfortable leaving if they went as fast as those at Indira Gandhi, but I've almost missed flights before at Istanbul Sabiha because of what a shitty job security was doing (this Turkish fucker was literally interrogating everybody like they were a terrorist, to the point where the entire line was screaming to have him replaced).

Sup /trv/, I'm considering going to Moscow some time this year for about a week, just had some questions I hope you all can help with. >Some do's and don'ts Is Russia actually as dangerous as people say. >What area to live I guess affordable and central, but don't feel like getting shot either. >"Must see" in general Really like Russian history, so any museums, sights etc. Would be nice. >Rus women I'm /fit/, 6'1, white, with blue eyes. Any advice for picking up non-pros? And pros? Are there dress codes, if going clubbing or to a bar. Would I get a slav beat down if I dress nice, suit up etc. Prices? Thanks.

TURKEY Hello, /trv/, first(ish) time poster here. I'm currently a medical student about to finish my career. I have a few exra days in march to travel, and that same month marks the date of the biggest anual meeting of medical students, this year held in Turkey. I would like further info of the country, specially regarding how many days it would take to visit the main places, and so, considering I have limited time (3 weeks, give or take) because I have to return home to do some last minute paperwork for my profesional degree. Any help would be greatly apreciated. Thanks in advance!

Rome

So I'm thinking if spending a few days in Rome, but I'm wary that it might just be a big tourist trap. Is it full of tourists, bad expensive food and corny tourist bait? Or is the food, culture and history worth the trip? I tend to like places that are slightly less touristy, but am I missing out if I don't go?

I had a falling out with my Dad travelling to see family. The past 9 or 10 days I've been kind of backpacking and staying at hostels. I'm in France right now, travelled here from Berlin. I've sort of been thrown into the experience with little preparation and no desire to backpack beforehand... How do I make the most of this experience? The conversations I've had I have started. One led to getting blind drunk out in Berlin with some Central Americans. Other than that, tho, it's been super isolating and boring. The museums/galleries are pretty crazy but I'm getting sick of them. What should I do?

This thread is dedicated to Americans getting shit just for being American whenever they travel. >be in Australia at a bar with a british girl I just met >bartender has passed me up three times because people he knows are ordering drinks >say "excuse me" and order my drink >british girl says that was sooo rude, and very American. Calls me an asshole typical American wut. pic unrelated. taken in New Zealand. I'm sure other Americans have stories about times where they were given shit just for being American
