Hey /trv/. A /brit/ here and I was wondering. How easy is it for me to join a farm via WWOOF I feel like it's something I would enjoy and I want to get out of the country. But I hear visas are a pain in the arse to get so my question to you all is: As a brit how easy/hard would it be for me to work with a wwoof farm?

I'm going to be in Florence for a week in a few days. Any suggestions? Historical places I could visit in the night, a nice place to go and hear local rock/metal bands

Going travelling in China from 6th June - 17th/24th July. First two weeks will be with my girlfriend visiting Shanghai, Zhanjiajie, Guilin and Hong Kong. Next 4 weeks I will be by myself. I want to visit the Yunnan province, Chengdu, Xi'an and Beijing. Any recommendations? I have never been to China before. Also any advice on travelling alone? I've only otherwise done interailing around Europe with a friend for a month (14 countries). I plan to travel staying longer in each place, taking it slower and carrying it less (25litres rather than 90litres)

Hey, I'm a really unexperienced tourist (have only been to Paris once) and would really like to go to either Tibet or India. Now, as I am not an experienced hiker either, do you even think it would be a good idea to go to Tibet at all? If I decided to go to India, I would not want to have a luxury holiday, but rather two, three weeks of living under "normal" circumstances, maybe trekking through the country (not in a tent though) and experience the lifestyle a bit. Does any of you have some experience and can give me some advise, what to do, what not to do, pls? Is it even a good idea to go on your own? And do you have some other recommendations for countries that provide a similar experience? Thanks :)

You are the leader of ISIS. You can destroy one touristy landmark or artifact on earth. Which do you choose and why?

UK to South Africa

Anyone drove from Europe to South Africa? What were the circumstances in your life that gave you the freedom to do such an endeavour? What were the financial implications? Was it dangerous? Im 21 and am quite adamant that I will fulfil this dream before im 35.

Will be backpacking across Ukraine this summer. This will be my first time travelling. Planning on spending 2+ months there. I've got a few questions: 1. Is £4,000 enough? (after flights) 2. Is it true that stuff is pretty inexpensive? 3. Any scams I should be aware of? note: Also planning to bring a local to accompany me (tell me where the best places to buy stuff are at, etc). Would the £4000 last with the both of us? If not, is it best I have the arrangement for a month instead of two?

TEFL Thread

Didn't see one in the catalogue so thought I'd make one. Share your TEFL experience and ask questions etc. So tomorrow I have an interview for a potential TEFL job in Thailand. People who have a TEFL and are working abroad, is there any advice you can give me for the interview? Recently I applied for the JET Programme to teach in Japan, and had an interview in January. I hear back about it in April, so depending on how that goes and how this interview goes, I will hopefully be in either Japan or Thailand by August.

Any opinions on Romania? After Turkey, Italy and Israel/Palestine in the last three months, I'm planning my April holiday and would like to spend about 10 days in Romania or surrounding areas. Does anyone have recommendation as to where to go? I'm mostly interested in culture - cute bookstores/cafés - good food (thank God it's cheap) - all with some history and cozy places on the side. Flying in and out of Bucharest, so it'd have to be some sort of round trip :-)

Hey /trv/, im from the Bay Area and me and my best friend are looking to buy a one way ticket somewhere and leave this place. Where should we go and why should we go there. We want an adventure, to experience something new and to see the world for what it truly is outside of this shitty bubble.

Hi, angsty teen here. I've read a few travel blogs lately, and most of the bloggers quit their jobs and now make all their money from blogging. That seemed like a good idea to me, so I plan to get a degree, get a job, save up some money, quit my job (maybe around 27), and travel the world for about 5 years while blogging to make extra money. Are my plans too ambitious? Feel free to ask questions and leave suggestions.

Sex Tourism

So /trv/ I'm a recluse with severe social anxiety and also have aspergers. I'm in my twenties with no friends I'm fat, ugly, and have a small penis. I have only left my room a few times in several years and it's only for medical/ psychological reasons. I have never been with a woman in life and that angers me more than anything to the point it's annoying me severely. I'm not rich at all but have been debating saving for a few years so I can go to a foreign country to get laid. I'm an American but would never bother with any of that stuff here for many reasons. I only speak English as well. So what would you guys say are the best countries to get laid at? Is Sex tourism worth it? Would they make a big deal of my not so big parts? I would only like to vacation for about a week as I know I couldn't handle any longer mentally. I want to feel alive at least once in my life. And no there is a 0% chance of me getting any relationship with a girl in states. Also some self righteous assholes always like commenting on trying to get my life straight fuck off. Even if I lost weight I would still be ugly and even if I was attractive I would remain a recluse. Oh, also I should note I find all races attractive minus black women.
