Im looking to go to either of these two countries in a few days and would like to know about any experiences and anything you would recommend or say about either in general. I would also like to know which would be better to go to and about stuff such as nightlife and stuff.

Austria and Switzerland

Dear /trv/ I'm planing a trip to Europe in October and I need your help. I'll arrive in Paris and stay there for a few days. I also intend to visit Prague. I would like to visit Austria and Switzerland, but I don't know which cities are worth visiting. What do you guys recommend? I'm going to stay in hotels with my gf and the nightlife will not matter much. The whole trip is going to be 15-17 days. Also, how cold and rainy will it be?

This has probably been asked a million times -- but how do you carry money when you travel? Like physical money, after taking it out of an ATM. Do you wear some sort of travel wallet? Do you carry it in a specific manner?

What do people mean they're staying somewhere for a week? Are they visiting hotels for a week straight or staying with friends or family? I've never had friends or family or enough money for a hotel so I'm just wondering. It's really depressing seeing everyone go on vacation like it's a normal routine for everyone

Saint Pierre and Miquelon?

I saw here that someone had traveled to these islands before, and I was really interested in going. I just got back from Vancouver, because flights were pretty cheap over Spring Break. When I was there I met this cool dude who was into traveling and nature, and flights leaving where I live and Vancouver to Halifax are both pretty inexpensive. From Halifax there's a short flight to Saint Pierre. Anyone ever been? What's it like, could you post some pictures? Was English spoken well, and was it easy to navigate, or should I just reach out to a tour company? How expensive are hotels?

Hey guys. I'm thinking about getting a TEFL certification and moving to Cambodia or a country in that area to teach, possibly permanently. I'm close to finishing my education degree here in the states and I was wondering what /trv/ might be able to tell me about Cambodia, and overseas teaching in general. Thanks in advance.

Is 50 minutes enough layover time for a large international airport (Changi Airport Singapore)? What's your opinion on layover times in general? What would you consider too little and too much?

Hi /trv/ If you had $5000 USD and were leaving everything behind and had to go somewhere in Europe, where would the best place to go be? What's the cheapest city or country in Europe?

I wanna go somewhere out of the way and I have been looking at various Pacific islands in Oceania. Right now I'm kinda leading towards Palau. Does anyone have any recommendations or experience with Palau or just Oceania in general? I'm speaking of course of all the little places most people don't know about, rather than Australia or NZ.

Anyone know what it's like to work as a hotel receptionist? Seen as I can't get a job traveling and don't live near an airport, I suppose I'll look at the next thing and work in a hotel. Maybe work my way up, idk. There's a job going near me as a hotel receptionist. Anyone have any experience?

I might be going to Portugal on a low-budget travelling around holiday, I've heard/read that despite being quite small it has some really nice cities/places to visit. Can anyone outline say over a 10 day trip a good basic outline of what could be done or if that's too long?

Hello friends! Last Saturday night in a shady bar I had several epiphanies about what it means to be alive. So I decided this NEET-life was no way to live and this rural town was not the place for me to be. I am young, handsome and I've got some cash so in a week I would like to leave on a trip across this blue planet. A little background information: I'm a Belgian man named "anon" who is currently 20 years old. My interests include art, music, parties, adventures, graffiti, making new friends and having sex. Currently I'm planning to be a drugs-free vegetarian for the coming two years. I have travelled a lot of times, although mostly with my parents. I have some experience with camping, hostels and hitch-hiking from my trip to Scotland last summer. I am planning to have a budget of about 3000 Euro at most. I would like to be away for two years but this will most likely turn out to be 6 months to one year. My current plan is to take a bus to Vienna (to go see Gustav Klimt's works) after that take the train/bus/hitch to Berlin (party and have fun) and than fly/hitch to Oslo (work there on a ship) and finally fly/hitch/sail to London. I have got some vague connections in most of the cities but this could be better since I hope to go couch surfing. I can't say I have had much luck on the couchsurfing-website so far... I'm looking for general solo travelling advice, tips about what to do/see in these cities and alternatives to couch surfing and hostels. I'm glad 4chin still has a mostly shitpostingfree board!

Hi We are 2 guys (23 years old) from canada (fluent french and english, and i know some russian lol) planning a a trip for this summer (likely early june) here is our main plan for now (everything subject to change kinda) the only places we decided we don't feel like going to: >US >Japan >most of Africa >most highly touristic places >places where u get kidnapped by slavers what we're thinking right now: >2 to 4 weeks >1000 to 4000$ >south america, peru, my friend mentioned a place called Urubamba and linked me this http://www.tripadvisor.ca/Tourism-g294321-Urubamba_Sacred_Valley_Cusco_Region-Vacations.html I'm thinking lake titicaca is kinda near there, and other national parks near there too here's what I/we like: nature, real people, animals and stuff, we wanna see what's out there not just go to some souvenir shop. we wanna make friends with locals and I just want to see the landscape out there. I haven't traveled much before tbh. Also worth mentioning I guess we are both weed smokers so idk about the laws about that out there either. Idk about the vaccines either. So yeah just tell me what you think if you got anything I woudl appreciate all comments and advices ty /trv/

South Carolina Island

Some friends of mine recently finished this short video (for work) on Dewee's Island, South Carolina. It's a protected island right next to Charleston. It's kinda cool, its a protected island, so no cars, no development or exposed utilities. Not trying to blatantly shill, I lurk here from time to time. Thought some U.S. east coasters might like it. https://vimeo.com/122179548 all the aerial footage was done with an RC chopper. Pic related.
