Sup /trv/. I need some advice. Short story short, my work is forcing me to take a holiday because i have too much leave saved up. I have no idea how.
I have never taken a holiday before, except one time when i took a week off work and and slept in a lot without doing much. I have 11 weeks of annual leave and no idea how to spend it.
I am 24, Australian, I can comfortably blow ~$30,000-$35,000 on it. I will be going alone, and i have to have a date locked in by September or they're going to just assign me time off.
It's not just that I don't know where to go, but I don't even know why people go there. I ask people I know and their responses were basically "lol dude just relax!" which isn't very helpful at all.
So basically, i have 10 weeks + time to recover and a bunch of money, what do i do with it?
Hostel from hell

Let me describe to you the sort of hostel I'm staying in here in Panama City...
So I arrived here with this girl I met in my previous hostel and was oblivious to what was happening here for a few days. Then I realized something was very very off this place. Something like 80% of the people staying here are from Israel. I tried talking to them, they all speak English but just end up using their jew-speak to each other excluding me from any attempt I make at a conversation. That's alright I thought, I'd just look for someone else to talk to. Who else is here? 4 middle-aged Italians, I think they're in the mafia cause they don't fucking do anything all day just sit around in swimming shorts on the lawn chairs doing nothing. Mafia on vacation. Then there's a small group of Swedes, they left today, 3 guys and a 9/10 girl who I think was teasing all of them along. One of the Swedes was in my room, he threw up all over himself one night, he didn't speak to anyone just grunted and took loud breaths. Oh and no one has conversations in English here, this is the first hostel I've ever seen this in, the staff speak English cause they help me find shit around the city and all the jews speak English cause I say hi to them and they reply but as mentioned above don't hold a conversation with me.
What to do in Sweden

I'm 25+ male that ended up in Sweden and seems like I'll be here for a while, like for several years. What should I try to do here? What are your favorite things to do in Sweden? Epic events, festivals, exhibitions, visiting sights, zoo, dog sledding, ski, clubs, watching sunsets? Any pro-tips?
And of course I've checked sites like http://www.visitsweden.com/ so I'm looking for something more unconventional.
So far what I've found so far:
DreamHack — the world's largest computer festival, a local area network gathering with live concerts and competitions in digital art and esports. Though I think I'm a bit too old for this shit.
Vetenskapsfestivalen — One of Europe’s leading
popular science event. Almost entirely in Swedish.
Midsummer (Midsomma) — looks like this is the time when whole country has lots of fun, booze and sex.
Take a ferry to Helsinki to buy cheap duty free booze.
Food in IKEA is dirt cheap.

Probably not going, but has anyone ever been? How would I go about riding down the coast, or even the interior to see some of the isolated cities?
I know the Free Zone is entirely off-limits, but there's still a lot of space here that practically nobody ever goes, and it's like a big mystery. A few weeks ago I saw a thread about some guy who hopped a train, but I'd rather not do that. So would it be possible to rent a car in Casablanca and drive down the coast to Mauritania and back? Or drive down even a little into Western Sahara, hang out for a bit in El Aauin, and then return to Casablanca?
Weird and quirky countries are just so interesting to me.

Bum Stuff in Paris

I'm taking a train to Paris in a few hours and could use some tips for places to bum around and things to do. I'll be getting in at 22.57, so I was thinking of going to a bar somewhere right off and getting drunk. This is assuming that I can sleep rough somewhere, as I would like to avoid paying for a hostel. I have a warm sleeping bag and no valuables, so does anyone have a place they would recommend sleeping out? Ideally close to some bars where I might find English/German speakers. Would it even be necessary to get a hostel the later nights if this works out, as all I want to do is drink, smoke and go to museums. Social interaction would be cool if it happens, but I am comfortable ambling around the city aimlessly.
So yeah, where is the best place to sleep rough in Paris, and does anyone have recommendations for backpacker/international/dive bars?

Hi guys! Does anyone know of any interesting abandoned buildings, factories, bunkers, resorts, temples etc. on Phuket Island, Thailand? I'm going there next week for 10 days, and I feel like doing some urban exploration.
Thanks in advance!

Hey there /trv/,
Going to Stockholm next week for a few days.
What are the things one should have seen when going there, or rather: what's really recommendable?
As of now, I plan on seeing some of the generic, but fairly interesting stuff, like Gamla stan, the Vasamuseet, the Stadshuset, as well as the Moderna Museet and the National Museum, perhaps also the Archipelago and Millesgården, but besides that I'm rather clueless.
Any helpful answer is appreciated.

How can i check the room for hidden cameras, listening devices or some other shit? How can I secure the room against all possibilities?
Let's say i'm going to a small city with my girlfriend for nature, hiking and local foods. We will rent a small apartement flat, and stay there for 2 or 3 days. Problem is, I'm not living in Europe, so i should be staying on my toes.
