Hello! First time international traveler looking for some advice. I'll be going to Iceland for about a week to attend a gathering for an MMO I play. Leaving from Australia in late April. So, what I would like to know, if you had to give one (or more, if you're feeling helpful) piece of advice, what would it be?

I am making a few trip ideas for the trip described in the title. It would be in the summer and would be between 10-16 days. Which trip idea is better? Based on immersion into culture, cost, etc (keep in mind 2 of the travelers have never been to Europe and we want to give them a good impression of how much better it is than the states? lol). We will want to see all of the main touristy stuff as well as things much more off the beaten path. Couch Surfing is likely how we will lodge. Here are the options: 1. France (Paris) + Belgium + Holland 2. Belgium + Cologne + Holland 3. Vienna + Bratislava + Budapest 4. Italy (A few of: Rome, Florence, Milan, Venice, Napoli, Pompei, Siena) 5. Italy (Rome, Florence, Milan, Venice) + Hungary (Budapest) What does /trv/ think? Pic related, Budapest Parliment. Also, we have 2 Spanish speakers, ~1 french speaker and 1 german speaker, if that changes anything.

/trv/, I've just come back from Bali. Spent 3 days in Ubud, 3 days basically doing a big lap of the island and topped it off with a week in Seminyak. So glad I did it now (I'm 22) and not 3 years ago because it would have been a wasted opportunity. I saw all sides of Bali and dd the general tourist stuff too. Anyway. First overseas trip is out of the way. I'm booked in for Vietnam in 6 weeks. Anyone got any good tips for places to go? Going with my girlfriend who is Vietnamese but she's been living in Australia for her teenage years so she doesn't really know a huge amount about the place. We'll be based at her family's house in Ho Chi Minh City but we'd live I move around and see everything we can.
