not sure where to ask this, but some of you may know. for anyone who speaks french, can you tell me how "pull toy" is spoken? as you can image, online translators assume that 'pull' in this instance is a verb, not a noun describing these toys. any help would be cool

So a friend of mine is a single mom from Ohio -- I live in London. I know this girl here in London who is 16 and is being removed from her home and put into "care" by social services. She's scared out of her mind but doesn't want to be with her abusive family any longer. Can this woman in Ohio adopt her? She told me she'd be willing to take in this girl and would spend the money, sign papers, but is it possible? If so, does anyone know how? Thank you.

Hey /trv/, I am planning on taking a road trip in May next year and the main spots i want to see and route i want to take is in the pic. What other places would you reccomend stopping by on the way? I am especially looking for something in north Texas/western Oaklahoma to fill in the last leg of the trip and I am willing to drive out of the way a bit to get there.

Hi /trv/ You've probably heard of the Finnish travel-lifestyle show Madventures. A few years back, they wrote a book about the food culture of countries they've visited and produced a spin-off "cooking" show on the side to promote it, called Mad Cook. I personally love the Madventures guys and noticed there were no subs available for the Mad Cook show, so I tried my best to imitate their genius into English. I hope you can enjoy the things these guys are doing (and my translation, Finnbro's can judge). I made this same thread today on /int/ and was adviced to post it here, so I shall before my beauty sleep. Episode 1: Fake Food http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_NG51v1AXg PS. Enable CC for subs PPS. Pic related, it's a human placenta Bloody Mary.

I'd like to visit The Netherlands with a few friends for a couple of days at the turn of the new year, at first glance we are particularly interested in going to Den Haag and Amsterdam. We're more interested in the sights and sounds of the country rather than what you might find behind closed doors or in a Coffee Shop. Any recommendations on what to see in these places or places of interest nearby, museums etc? Also recommendations on Hotels to stay a few nights would great.
