Planning to go to Berlin/Potsdam,Munich/Fussen-Romantic Road-Frankfurt, Nuremberg in 2 or three trips to Germany over time. On the fence about Bremen, Hamburg, Cologne, Dresden and Dusseldorf. Are the above stars sufficient for experiencing Germany, or do these seemingly less popular yet large cities have something unique or unmissable?

The Balkans

Romania and Hungary seem cool, but how are the rest of the Balkans? When looking up any place in the world, all you find is positivity and why every place is so wonderful. But I get the feeling some Balkan states are still poor and messed up from war. Anyone been to these? >Belgrade, Serbia >Novi Sad, Vojvodina >Sofia, Bulgaria >Skopje, Macedonia >Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzgovina >Dubrovnik and/or Zagreb, Croatia

Leaving for Amsterdam, Paris, and Reykjavik next week. Have most everything planned, two day trips by bike and train to Volendam and The Hague for Holland, doing mostly Paris stuff, and will have a rental car in Iceland. I know most of what I should do but what is some deep culture stuff that locals really love? I like to blend in as much as possible whenever I'm traveling and am looking at achieving that as much as possible.

Canadian Rockies

I'm going to be spending next week camping in the Canadian Rockies, specifically in Jasper, Banff, Icefields Parkway, and maybe Yoho. Anyone got any advice on must-see destinations or must-do activities? Anything I should definitely avoid? Any advice in general? Thanks in advance.

Panel/Front Loading Travel Packs

Hi all, I'm after a backpack that opens like a suit case for easy packing/unpacking. I already have a specific camera back in mind for a day pack/carry on. So I am looking at checked luggage sizes, I have 15kg on the way over, 25kg on the way back. Probably something in the 45-60L range excluding day pack volume. Osprey Waypoint looks good, but also comes with a day pack. Also any inexpensive alternatives? I just need something to open up like a suit case, day pack is already very nice.

Moped Travel

what do you guys think about traveling on mopeds. faster then cycling, but with fuels cost being very minimal (most mopeds average around 100mpg). I just lost my job and I'm contemplating hitting the road for a while. my permanent residence is an rv so it will just go into storage as long as needed.

I'm going on a trip in south america without any kind of vaccination. I will just stay in big cities (south brazil, bolivia and north chile) without visiting the amazon or favelas, and be very very careful with water and mosquitos. However, i still want to try some good latino street food, but i will still be very careful How many chance do i have to not get hep. A, malaria or yellow fever? I will stay there 20 Days Another question: i am kinda worried about bolivia's height sickness, i heard that almost 90% of tourists who arrive there spend at least a week with a furious diarrhea, headache and weakness. Any way to avoid it?

Is it possible to just take off to somewhere with a tropical climate? I dream of kicking down coconuts from a tree and eating fruit picked straight from a tree in the hot sun with the ocean breeze. Getting a simple job and building my own hut to live on outside the city.

Pacific Islands: Thing to do in Fiji

At the moment I'm living in Australia, during my time here I want to travel to some of the Pacific islands. But they are so many, which ones are unique or have something special to see/do. Also A deal has just come up for Fiji but from some quick research online, and it doesn't seem like a place that would interest me. I'd love to here from some more experienced travellers what things they did in Fiji.

Nightlife in Bangkok

Hay /trv/, I'm heading over to Bangkok in August for 3 weeks. I've researched most of the basics, and have enough street smarts and travel experience to look after myself, I guess all I'm looking for now is places around Bangkok, and nearby areas to visit. I'm travelling with a mate, and besides a few days doing the same thing, the only time we'll be together is pretty much at night. We both want to find places for some quiet drinks, meet some locals, both men and women, and just have a good night out. We're both heading there single, and it's the last time I'll see him as he moves back to France after the holiday (We live in Australia), so obviously we'll be after some action, so no doubt beer/gogo bars will be on the cards but we'd also like to find places to chill where we won't be bothered by bar girls and freelancers. We also like to find places that have a bit of class to them, as in the picture. I have enough to not worry about how much I'll spend, and we both have a pretty nice hotel booked, so none of that is an issue. I'm staying in Soi Sukhumvit 19, just to give an idea of the area I'm looking at.

Racism (?) in Spain

So... I'm a latin american going to visit Madrid->Spain soon as a tourist. Here is the deal: Some friends and relatives told me that visiting Spain was a pain in the ass cuz they were threatened or mistreated for being "latinos" and i'm starting to become really afraid. Is it really that bad? Speaking only in english all the time would be of any help? Please help or leave an opinion. ;_;

Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration Camp

This has got to be the single most trip that has made me reconsider travelling altogether. My intention of visiting this place was to maybe understand what happened there, feel some connection possibly. But the place is literally a fucking theme park of fuckhead tourists with selfie-sticks. Even in the gas chamber and Block of Death people were just walking around with selfie sticks and iPhones not even looking at what is infront of them, just viewing it from a screen. Two stupid cunt bitches were pushing through tour groups just to take photos with flash on of cells and human hair. Colossal swarms of Chinese tourists all taking photos of eachother taking photos. I am so fucking done with visiting anywhere with a high concentration of fuckheads ever again. My last vacation was Iceland and the feeling out in the wilderness passing a single car per hour was so refreshing, then I come to this place and it just ruins everything. People pay thousands of dollars just to get some Instagram photos in 2015. Kill me please. Pic related - the only picture I took on my trip.
