Hey guys, first post here on /trv/.
I live in Indiana, but me, my girlfriend, and my best friend are planning on leaving our monotonous suburban lifestyle for the wonders of travel at the beginning of Summer, 2016. We plan on getting an old Winnebago and making our way around, first in the northeastern states, then down towards Florida, then eventually through the Southern states towards California and so forth.
The questions I have are:
1. How much would it cost to upkeep/drive a 70's/80's Winnebago around the country?
2. How to make money on the road? (we're all physically able and young, me and my friend play guitar and might be able to play bar gigs sometimes or something, could sell drugs, will be stocked on marijuana/shrooms)
We plan on mostly enjoying the nature and our freedom. We aren't against fishing/hunting for food, washing in streams, etc.
Safety tips would be much appreciated as well.

I've been to the obvious places in America. NYC, NOLA, Boulder, San Fran. It's a huge country, and as I continue seeing the country, I could use some help for when I'm in places like the midwest, or the north west south.
So let's have a thread for nowhere america.
I'm going on a roadtrip, and some of the states I'm having trouble planning my route through are Northern Alabama, Northern Mississippi, Arkansas, Western Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, Utah. I enjoy day hikes, but I also love a good drinking town. What does /trv/ know of more or less along this route?

Going to the Philippines (Manila, Boracay for New Year's, Cebu, considering Palawan) for a couple months in starting in December. What should I expect?
>Is it really as easy to pick up women as they say?
I'm 6'0 even, /fit/ (otter mode w/ abs), white American w/ brown hair and blue eyes. I've heard I'll literally have to try to not get laid. Is that an exaggeration?
>Saltwater crocodiles, 2spooky5me?
What are the odds of being attacked by one in Boracay or El Nido? Plan on swimming with some Whale Sharks in Cebu, do they range around there?
>Palawan worth it?
I've heard it's must see, anyone have experience?
>Best hotels to stay in?
Can anyone recommend me good hotels for Manila, Cebu, and Boracay? Not really into the backpacker hostel thing, and I prioritize cleanliness and safety first and foremost.
Thanks in advance /trv/
