The best country and the best city you ever visited. >Slovenia >Istanbul

I have left the United States with the intention of deriving as much as possible from the inexpressibly rich South American continent. I have no more than my backpack, instrument, and 800 USD and am eager to see what will come from the trip. There is no real itinerary nor any plan for a return and unless physical necessity demands that I give it up, I will continue to explore this land, working when I have to, indefinitely. I am starting in Peru because convenience makes it easy for me to do so and because I am interested in some of the traditional practices to be found there in particular. From there it is likely to be East, but I cannot know for certain. I will likely work for a month or so in Lima before I backpack elsewhere just so I can learn enough Spanish to get by in other areas where English speakers are not so easily found. I have traveled like this in the past but never without even the slightest idea concerning an end date. For years I have kept a journal with me to record my thoughts and experiences and will be doing so as I move along in South America. I decided to make a blog and type up my journal entries and would love for you, my brothers and sisters, to follow it and post on there with any tips, ideas, or even unrelated thoughts. The website is aerochameleon.wordpress.com I will update it on a consistent basis since I tend to write often in my journal. I believe that this is how we are meant to live and in the process of this indefinite journey, I hope to uncover whether I am wrong in harboring this conviction.

So I'm going to stay a few days in Seattle in the summer and I'm all by myself, what should I visit when I'm in Seattle?

An anon from /lit/ said that he took his brother to the DR and had him fuck a girl every night in order to save him from degenerating into a beta. I'm going to Santa Domingo this summer, how can I safely have a quickie with some pretty Dominican girls? I will probably bring a lot of money to spend for this purpose alone.

Hey guys, so I'm going to Costa Rica and I'm wondering what the deal is down there. Never been out of America and a bit worried about going to a country that different. Any Dos or Don'ts would also be helpful

Hey guys. I have about 4 months of free time left. I am currently in italy (originally from germany) and want to hitchhike through europe. I will probably be couchsurfing or renting cheap airbnb places if I don't feel like company. where should I go? Any suggestions welcome, as I said I have a lot of free time and I want to check out 4-5 countries at least. Nature, City, anything is good.

Taking a trip through central Europe. Asking for good things to see, >starting in Kaiserslautern >going to Zurich >going south to como, Italy, then moving east to see Venice >going up to salzburg >spending a few nights in Munich, before flying back home Are there any places I should see on the way? Are there places I should go out of my way to see?

Anyone here an American Red Cross volunteer? I'm looking to get involved in projects in Africa or South America. My wife is an RN and I'm a retired classroom teacher. We're both multilingual with extensive travel experience (years living abroad). Do you think the Red Cross would send us to Africa?

Hi /trv/, I'm coming from /g/ so I'm a semi-autistic and scared nerd who generally don't like new experiences. This is probably a stupid question, but I am in San Jose, CA for a conference. I'm staying at a hotel at the airport which is quite a distance from the conference center (downtown), and I need to go back and forth (probably at late hours as I plan on socialising in the evenings). I was wondering if it is safe for me to take the tram at late hours with visibly expensive equipment, or if I will get robbed. I know some cities in CA can be quite dangerous, but I think San Jose is pretty safe, no?

Information about every country AGAIN

Hello, anons. Once again I come with a proposition to help our fellow /trv/ patrons to choose their next destination. We post our native countries and state all the major pros and cons for those who would like to visit/live in it. That way we would help a lot of people to decide on their next destination. Let's be open and honest. PREVIOUS THREAD: archiveDOT4plebsDOTorg/trv/thread/1069324/ HARD MODE: Post the minimum (or average) amount of money you need to live in your country. NIGHTMARE MODE: Tell us if your country is "Stable/Boring/Fun/Dangerous/Risky/Good for work/Good for living"

Stint in Vietnam

Gday /trv/ I'm off to Vietnam on Thursday with my girlfriend and we'll be based in Saigon for the majority of the trip, with a few trips out to the Mekong Delta and Cu Chi Tunnels. Any advice on the area? I've been to SE Asia a few times before but never Vietnam, anything i should be on the lookout for in terms of sights/locations to visits while over there that isn't the typical "found on TripAdvisor" location? Any foods that are a must to try? What's the best way to avoid losing a kidney?

Living in Korea vs. Japan as a Westerner?

0 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: ]
What are the main differences? Personally I have lived in neither, but have visited Japan, so some input from expats would be really cool. I'd imagine getting a job in Korea might be a bit easier than in Japan, plus the immigration bereaucracy also, though that's just my intuition. Differences in: - work culture - women/dating - making local friends etc..

Sup /trv/, I am Brazilian and I and some friends are going to travel to the US, actually we do something crazy, we will drive from Orlando to Seattle. We chose the path south straight to San Francisco first, but beyond the Grand Canyon we do not know many "cool places" this way, you would suggestions of places to eat, visit, or just sit and watch the scenery? I search some blogs, but I have nothing concrete or that really cool. Also, if you have any tips on where to go or do not, is welcome.

Chernobyl Trip

Hey /trv/, I am a migrant from /k/ and I am looking for some people to go on a trip with. I posted a thread on /out/ which explains some details, but they suggested to look here, as well. Here is the scoop- I am looking to tour Chernobyl/Pripyat either in early July or mid September. I will go alone, but would rather have some company and maybe make a new friend. I don't have any friends left in real life that will travel, so I am reaching out to strangers now. The details are in the other thread, but here is a quick recap: >I am from PA >24 and male >Looking to take around 10 day trip >Fly into Kiev >Spend about 4 days in Chernobyl/Pripyat >Spend the other days enjoying Kiev and maybe going elsewhere Overall it's looking like it'll be around 2,300USD for the trip including everything. The more people that go, the lower the cost (substantially lower). For me, the plane ticket will be around 1200 bucks. If you are interested, let me know and i will give you my throwaway email where we can talk about more details and I'll explain a bit more about myself.

Destination guide

So for some reason I've gotten it in my head that i should make a /trv/ guide thread for where i live. Because im a dildo im not going to tell you where that is now, but the guide would be for the region rather than a single city. What details would you gents like to see in a guide? I have a pretty good idea of what to include but just to make sure i dont miss anything i figured id ask before i start putting it all together. Just a few of the topics i have already thought of covering, in no particular order: Location, geography, climate/weather, best times to visit Brief history Culture/how dickish are the locals Saftey/crime Transportation, or lack thereof Cost of living/staying, some general prices of things, general accomodation info. Activities, cool places to see, obviously the bulk of the thread. Bars/night life/fiki fiki Day trips/activities to other nearby places/things Brief "poor neckbeard ona budget" post (good fucking luck with that, pic related) What else am i missing? I already have myself a rough outline in my head, but because of my autist tendancies i want my thread to be the mother of all info threads for my area. Any ideas or helpful advice is appreciated. Being a snotty dick and contibuting nothing of value is cool too, i guess.
