Hitchhike solo to Turkey/Greece?

1 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: ]
I have about a month of free time and I'm just sitting on my ass right now and I thought of using this time to travel. I'm considering hitchhiking from Poland, to and then around the safe areas of Turkey (or Greece if something happens again in Turkey). I've done a solo trip before but it was only around Georgia and for a week. I've also hitchhiked from Poland to Italy before so I have some experience in that as well. I think this trip could potentially be one of the most interesting ones that I'll have but I'm not exactly convinced because I'm worried I'll have a bad time. What do you guys say?

Russia- Yay or Nay

ITT Talk about if Russia is a good place to travel to, or even stay. I like the language, it's easy, so I briefly considered being an ESL teacher there. Politically, I like Putin most of the time. But that's just me. And please don't turn this thread into a Putin Paragraph. Keep that in /pol/ Topics to hit are American relations with the country, (and what they'll think of me) the common belief that the country is strict as fuck, and generally good places to live. Thanks!

Hi /trv/ I have a question. What do people see in Miami? I get visiting for a weekend, but living there? I feel like there isn't much to do except beaches and parties. >very little historical architecture >expensive >crime >everything looks the same Am I the only one that feels this way? I'm up for discussion

I'm going to music festival that's on Thursday and I'll be traveling tomorrow to UK. Thing is the camping site there opens on Thu and my options are either overpriced hotel rooms or wild camping near the festival site for the Wednesday night. Should I be afraid to spend night in the UK wildness? Basically I'm just curious if there are any negatives to it.

Iceland Car Rental

1 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: ]
Hey everyone, I am travelling Iceland from the 7th to the 13th of September and keep trying to figure out what to do for car rentals. I plan on driving the full ring road, but is a 4x4 really necessary? What sights would I not be able to access without it.. I have heard that the plane crash on the beach is no longer accessible by car now anyways, and that you have to hike, but that is one of the only ones I could really think of that we would have missed. What is everyones recommendations? and if you have any, what rental companies are good?

Hello, New to this forum so bear me while I give this my shot! Me, my best friend and my girlfriend needs to cut the ties to our western world. We have in mind migrating to India, and investing in some form of house/roof at the country side removed from all the big cities. Reading up online about rules in India and such it comes to my attention that there seem to be very strict rules regarding what is possible, but still no clearance from the information online. So I'll start this thread off with some basic question which hopefully can become more advanced as knowledgeable people enters: *Is it possible to get a "permanent" residency in India?(More than 6 month visa) *If yes, how? *Is it possible to become a legal tax paying citizen and be given the permission to own property, i.e house, bungalow, or any other roof above the head and some private space--On the country side as mentioned. Blessed be you who can provide insights in this subject, any experience is welcomed in this thread!

Anyone have experience with river cruises? My wife and I are considering taking one somewhere in Europe (haven't decided which river yet) and they seem like a decent option to see a lot of the interior. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good line for them? The one we get commercials for here in the states is Viking but I've got no experience with them (only cruise I've taken before was with Ponant for our honeymoon). Thanks in advance. Hello there, first time poster on /trv/. I'm going to visit England, specifically Bristol. Are there any interesting places for sightseeing, bars, cheap but good restaurants? I'm a student, so I won't have a huge amount of money when I get there, so try to think of more..cheaper options, thanks! BTW: do you have any tips on how to get from London to Bristol? The train is pretty expensive, is coach the way to do it?

I'm going to be in Tampa for a week in September. What is there to do? It doesn't seem like the sort of place I'd typically want to visit but I'm open to any ideas.
