How many of you have seen the show departures? It's was only broadcast in Canada, but is now on Netflix. I really recommend it, one of the better travel shows I have seen.

How do I into Norway?

I'm graduating soon, and was thinking of doing a trip. I'm most concerned with the financial aspect of it. Is there a way to stay a month or 2, and possibly work or would I just have to do the ol'save a few thousand dollars route?

Can /trv/ rank the touts of these countries from bearable to worst? Not interested in Brunei and East Timor though. If you can, do compare with other tout heavy countries like India, Egypt, Morocco, Cuba... Thank you.

Hi, I'm an American who's going to be traveling to London and Wales next summer. What exactly do I need? I've never left my country so I'm not entirely sure on travel. I know I'll need a passport, an adapter for my charger, and to turn my USD into GBP. What else do I need to do? Thanks.

New Japan General As always, feel free to ask about: >Traveling to Japan >Living in Japan >Teaching in Japan >Joining the Yakuza >Getting your weeb fantasies crushed *Info on prostitution* >http://rockitreports.com/category/sex-in-tokyo/ >http://erolin.net/ *Note about the JR Pass* Many people ask about whether or not the JR Rail Pass is worth it. It depends on your itinerary. >http://www.hyperdia.com/en/ Plug your itinerary into Hyperdia to determine ticket costs, then compare to the below JR Pass options: >7 day Pass: 29,110¥ >14 day Pass: 46,390¥ >21 day Pass: 59,350¥ Please check the /trv/ sticky before asking questions. It's filled with links to great resources, many of them specific to Japan travel. Please refer to the old thread while it's still up: >>1153480

I am spending a couple of nights in Vienna in 10 days time. There is three of us going, and we are staying quite centrally, within 1010 Vienna and a couple of minutes walk from St. Rupert's Church and Katholische Kirche Maria am Gestade. Any recommendations of the essentials to do in Vienna? Ideally stuff which is fairly relaxing as the Vienna leg is just after a few days in Budapest, so likely to be tired and hungover. Also, what's the nightlife like in Vienna and any recommendations for cool, relaxed bars/pubs? Furthermore, how expensive is Vienna for eating and drinking?

Hey guys, looking for a good place in Europe for a holiday next year. A couple of young adults looking to spend a week. We've been looking into Croatia and Greece, and I'm wondering if you guys could give us some tips. Ideally, we'd like somewhere where there are sights, nightlife, and surfing (although not crucial). Kos, Zante, and Crete have been suggested. Most of us are students, so we don't have too much to spend, but we've got the year to save up. If you think there's somewhere better suited, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Dating in Singapore

I relocated to Singapore a year ago. I am Asian-American. I just broke up with my bf who moved here with me and I prefer dating people from a similar Western background due to the lack of cultural differences. And I am douchebag for having this preference? Also, how difficult is it to find a dating partner of a similar cultural background in Singapore? I know that only a minority of people in Singapore is culturally Western but birds of a feather flock together.

Had a blast in Morocco recently, would recommend it, esp if you live in Europe (nearby). Here's a video showing how they traditionally make their famous argan oil! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4LbCYBl8uk

Traveling for wolves

6 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: ]
I thought this deserved a thread of its own, because after much googling and asking around it seems like actual wild wolf sightseeing is pretty rare. Few people actually get to see or even hear wolves, and most who say they have seen them say Yellowstone, which is a crowded shithole. I'm asking Canadabros and those in the NW of the US - where is an excellent place to travel such that at least listening to howling wolves at night is guaranteed? I've read Canada has more wolves than the entire US but can't find any specific info. My ideal experience would be to listen to them without having to be part of one of those damn tours

Any Munich Fags here tonight, or expats from UK? I've been offered a job in Munich with a salary of €80k. Will this be sufficient for a single guy? How would it compare to current UK salary of £35K? What do your real-world monthly expenses work out as? Also I assume life in Munich more than just beer festivals? What else goes on there?

American candy in Europe?

So I'm going to be visiting a friend in Italy next month. As a gift, I want to bring her a bunch of American candies so she can see what we have here. I'm trying to figure out what American candies are currently sold in Europe so I know what to not buy. Any advice?
