Traveling to Copenhagen

Hello guys. Next week I'm going on a business trip to Denmark (Copenhagen). I rarely travel anywhere so I'm kind of nervous. For working abroad I will receive 30euro/day. I'm wondering what are the daily costs of food etc. in Denmark, I've heard its extremely expensive. Also, what is there to see/do in Copehagen? If it's possible I would like to stay within 30euro/day, but if there is something intresting I don't mind spending money. Also, what should i watch for in Denmark? Is there many mudslims compared to Sweden? Thanks for help, I'll check the thread in a couple hours.

As a broke 22 year old with aspirations of travel, WWOOF'ing seems like the best possible way for me to get started. Could any anons with WWOOF experience share their stories, give advice or inspiration? I read some basic guides but still dont really comprehend how to begin with it.

Looking to fuck off to a low cost of living big city for three months next summer. The cheaper the food and entertainment, the better, but also want a good price/value ratio. Major cities I've heard of for longer stays are Ho Chi Minh City, Kuala Lumpur and Buenos Aires. Any thoughts on these or are there much better options?

Before i visit, I tought Thailand is my place. Cheap, hot, friendly people; digital nomad heaven. But after one month, i hate Thailand. Bugs, cockroaches, scammer people, shitty smell from streets, shitty food, ugly girls... Probably all SEA is like this. So, i'm looking for new place to discover for my cheap nomadic lifestyle. Where should i go next? What do you guys think about Ukranie, Georgia or Moldova? Or any advice for new places?

Going to montreal tomorrow for the first time. I will be going solo. Anyone got any tips? I am not super interested in art museums, but I am looking for tips on bars, clubs, strip clubs. If anyone is there and wants to grab a drink that would be cool.

Traveling with multiple devices

How much of a bad idea is it to travel with multiple devices? e.g. 2 laptops, 2 smartphones In my case, one laptop is a desktop replacement, while the other is a cheaper, lightweight machine which I will use like a laptop. One smartphone is my main smartphone, and the other is a cheap backup. I've heard going through customs with more than one device might make them suspicious and think you're trying to import goods without paying tariffs. But it's not like I'm bringing 10 laptops with me. Then again, they might still give me a hard time.

Van dweller here, came into a few bucks and thinking about putting something like pic related together and driving from Alaska all the way down to the tip of south america. I have never lived in my van outside the US. How tough is it in mexico and points south to be a van dweller?

Acolyte of the peaceful religion here... My question is how are Muslims regarded in the eastern bloc (and the world in general)? I've been interested in visiting it for years but have always been put off by the perceived xenophobia of the locals which I imagine is now heightened by the refugee/ migrant shit of recent years P.s I honestly don't want to blow anyone up nor do I hate the west/ white people. I drink alcohol, eat pork went to a Catholic school and have been brought up in London

i noticed that "eastern europe" is becoming more popular here and everyone is raving over krakow, prague, katowice...etc but i've never even seen my country mentioned at all, even though its the closest by development to "western europe". so what gives, are we just bad at advertising or is there just nothing to do here? most videos i see of tourist say they are having a grand old time

Traveling with a Union Pay card

Working in China, and with the upcoming holiday, I want to take off and get out of Asia for a week or two. Problem is, all of my money is on my Union Pay card (the Chinese junker). I know from my time back home that it was incompatible with the ATMs, so I am worried about traveling with it. Anyone know a non-Asian country where I can use Union Pay to make withdrawals? I haven't traveled much, so I am open to going pretty much anywhere.

How can I meet white males in Singapore?

I'm from the UK and I came to Singapore a couple of months ago. I have no desire to date outside of my race. I know that there is quite a large expat community here but all the white males I came across are taken. There are a few teaching at the school where I work at but they either have a wife or a girlfriend. I tried online dating but the people there are creepy and strange. I checked out groups for singles on meetup.com but none of the guys attending the events are white. How can I meet white males in Singapore? It seems that all the decent ones are taken.

At the end of october, my work is flying me out to Joliet, IL for 20days to train some new hires. I currently reside in S.Cali and am pretty excited! I'll be about 40miles away from Chicago with Thursday, Friday and Saturday off for 2weeks while I am there. Besides DEEPDISH pizza, what else is there to do?? (in in my late 20s).

Question

is travel insurance worth it for a someone like me who only travel far once every two years? I plan to do a solo to a South East Asia trip for one month next summer for the first time, and I'm advised to have travel insurance. Just how vulnerable you are, when you travel in SEA? What are the chances that you'll endanger your health?

New Japan General, Kagoshima Edition As always, feel free to ask about: >Traveling to Japan >Living in Japan >Teaching in Japan >Joining the Yakuza >Getting your weeb fantasies crushed *Info on prostitution* >http://rockitreports.com/category/sex-in-tokyo/ >http://erolin.net/ *Note about the JR Pass* Many people ask about whether or not the JR Rail Pass is worth it. It depends on your itinerary. >http://www.hyperdia.com/en/ Plug your itinerary into Hyperdia to determine ticket costs, then compare to the below JR Pass options: >7 day Pass: 29,110¥ >14 day Pass: 46,390¥ >21 day Pass: 59,350¥ Please check the /trv/ sticky before asking questions. It's filled with links to great resources, many of them specific to Japan travel. Please refer to the old thread while it's still up: >>1162419

Does anyone here have experience with Indonesia? It seems like it is talked about a lot less than other SEA nations. I am debating a trip there with a rough outline looking like >1 night in Jakarta >Fly to Bali and stay 4 nights in Ubad >Fly to Yogyakarta for 3 nights >Train to Jakarta for 1 night I am torn between this trip or a Vietnam and Laod trip.

Bratislava (and Slovakia)

5 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: ]
Heading to Slovakia from the UK in the spring. Staying probably a few days to a week. Any recommendations of things to do in Bratislava? I'm not the clubbing type, more into history and culture. Seems like it's still one of the less-travelled destinations, so I'm thinking it wouldn't be too tourist-focused yet. Open to going a little further out, too. Nitra looks like it's definitely worth a visit, and isn't prohibitively far from the capital. Košice's over the other side of the country, would it be worth heading out there? Could always arrive in Bratislava airport, visit the city and Nitra, and make my way across the country to Košice.
