I'm really stressing out about this budget I'm on. I'm pretty much going to Australia for 6 months to visit my fiance,(I live in Canada) She lives with her parents who work(she works too), and I'm going up there with roughly 2.7 thousand dollars (after purchasing plane tickets for there AND back). Would I get turned down from entering the county? Even though I'll be staying with my fiance who works and parents?, while having quite a bit of money to possibly help out?

Sup fellas, I'm headed back home after a year in Mexico. I booked a flight to Denver to hang with some homies I haven't seen in a while, and then going to Indianapolis and home. But I hit a snag. I got the ticket from mex city to Denver for a good price, and saw a fuckton of frontier flights from Denver to Indy for $34-40. I tried practically all of them, only to find that "THE FLIGHT YOU ARE BOOKING IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE". Figure it's airline companies trying to fuck people by bait-and-switching them into buying a more expensive flight. My problem is that I literally cannot afford the $180-200 they are now quoting me to fly to Indy in the date range I'm looking for. So: Should I hold out and wait for some last minute deals (flight is oct 16-18)? I'm also down for hitching, I did it a ton in Mexico but realize that the US is nowhere near as friendly towards it and id be going a considerable distance (albeit pretty much a straight shot). TL;DR: retard needs to get from Denver to Indy in mid octoberas cheaply as possible with zero limits on how arduous the journey is. Help? Pic not really related, but it's a monk gettin some head so don't complain

Any brothers of the Craft get out there & visit other lodges / meet other brethren when on the road, in the finest Masonic tradition? Share your experiences! Recently raised MM here, looking to visit a lodge in DC but I can't get a response out of them - though I have no doubt I'll meet some brothers on my journey, albeit not in a lodge.

When I was in Germany over a year and a half ago, I remember staying at a flat in Berlin through Airbnb. The host told me that downloads were prohibited because of a law and downloading something would be a fine of over 1000 Euros. The host told me of a story of someone they hosted who downloaded something and got a fine of 1200 Euros. Is this for illegal downloads or any downloads period? Does it affect uploads as well? Sorry, I am an Ameriburger trying to better understand German laws since I will be going back to Berlin this year for New Years Eve

Best "Haunted" Locations in the US?

I've been offered a trip to somewhere in the US for my 21st birthday since I've been legal for 3 years I don't really care about partying. So, best cities with lots of paranormal/haunted stuff to see/do, or just old buildings lots of history in general? Off top of my head is Chicago and Boston.

Small habits in different countries

Ever since I started traveling, I've always been interested in those small yet significant details, like when do people brush their teeth and when do they eat. It's usually the thing that I notice the most; sure, the whole culture and society might be different, but that's something you expect. I never expect to see how different people behave when crossing the streets or showering. I'm interested in those small differences we usually overlook. When do you brush your teeth? How many times a day? I even made a small poll with a couple questions (I'll probably post the data here if some of you guys are interested) on here: docs. google. com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfVoTSSXXJnM8jCzef28FxLy4dXeU0_ifUgJvQTrM32QXH9WA Which small details have struck you the most when traveling to another country? I'll say the "absolutely no jaywalking" and "everyone pays cash for everything" I encountered in Germany really struck me.

Well gents its time I cross this mother off my bucket list being in So Cal most of my life meant i was stuck with Disneyland cause going to Disneyworld at that time costed a arm and a leg (still does). I'm combining my vacation days along with Thanksgiving (my anus is already puckered up for lines) to make it a 5 full Disney world day trip. What can you Disney world vets offer in terms of advice?

I'm thinking of traveling to a Native American reservation or somewhere in South America to look for mind-altering drugs as kind of a vacation soon. Where are the best places to go to experience stuff like mescaline or peyote and how would I go about finding someone to hook me up once I'm there?

Has anybody else ever felt like they were completely and utterly overwhelmed by where they were for irrational or inexplicable reasons? Whenever I walked the streets of Tokyo, even with a group of fellow foreigners like me and with a year's worth of Japanese language learning under my belt, I felt a very acute yet impermeable uneasiness, like I wanted to go back to my hotel room and stay there to watch TV, I felt as though the flashing lights and the people and the sounds were converging in on me, and I had to go. Two years later I went to India, and navigated the most crowded, the most loud, the most smelly, and the most chaotic streets I have ever seen in my life. Never before had I imagined horns and streets to be this loud and common, and groups of this amount of people and the sheer volume I was seeing was inconceivable. Pile on top of that the disfigured cripples who panhandled for money, the mal-nourished children rubbing their stomachs and mouths, the hunch-backed old crones, the touts and scammers trying to suck you dry of every rupee you have, the vigilance needed in order to not step in cow shit, and finally, the constant and ever-present fear of theft, murder, or rape, if you're a woman. Yet for all of these things I felt in India, It never came close to the level of fear I experienced when walking through the avenues of Akihabara, or anything else for that matter. For all the terrors I experienced or was at risk of experiencing in India, I went on with a quiet yet collected professionalism, even as my tennis shoes were stolen from the temple I visited. In Japan there was something different, and obviously something that would make me feel worse than what I did in India. In fact, living in Las Vegas Nevada, I get the same feeling I got in Tokyo as I do whenever I have the misfortune of visiting the strip, which gives me the same shivers and chills that Tokyo does, with similar anxious effects. Does anybody else know this feel?
